It's all part of the plan, relegated this year and make use of the different FFP rules in L1 and then come up with a squad capable of making the prem. It's that simple....just ask Birmingham
in that case we need to start looking at players capable of getting us promoted I don't see this lot doing it

I'm finding it incredible he's still in the job

I’m finding it incredible people are still defending his position & performance.

I’m all for supporting the team at the game, even on here to some extent during the MTDs but waffling on about “good performances”, “XG”, “people wanting us to lose”, “giving him more time” that is complete fantasy bollocks.

We’ve scored 10 goals in 8 games, 7 of them in 2 of the games. We’ve not won in 6. We’ve just played the three promoted clubs & beat none of them. We were lucky to get a point in two of them, despite leading in them both.

Keep as we are & we’re going down.

Heart attack football? My arse.

The comment about us being 6th in xG wasn't even correct, which was either just a genuine error in reading xG or someone just plucking something out of thin air to defend him.

That genius Corberen has his team winless in 6 with only two goals scored.

He’s a manager everyone wanted, they’re in 5th place currently yet on a similar run of form and results to us. It’s fine margins.

Their run is nothing like ours, hence the 7 point difference.

We have been **** since friendly number 1 … and shown no improvement. They’re having a blip. They have a GD of +6 we have -3. They’ve not lost in their last 6, we have, They’ve only lost two of their last 8.

Try to keep it real,

I find it strange that different sources can have such material differences in xG for some teams (e.g. Sheffield United). Fbref is a source I've long had cited as quite reliably but never heard of footystats before.

We spent big money this summer and we have a good squad.

Last summer we didn't spend much at all in comparison.

I don't know why this idea that last season's squad was significantly stronger is so popular. I suppose it comes from the hype around our January spending, but judging an entire squad based on the half-season loans of two or three proven quality players plus a few cheap unknowns who barely played seems a flawed measure to me.
I'd imagine our wage bill last season was a fair bit bigger than this season, and whilst we have spent a good chunk, there's a fair amount of re-sale value there
