Just a minor one, but I'm getting kind of sick of people calling Sheffield United a PL team as if their spell in the PL wasn't one of the worst in its history. They were absolutely destroyed and their squad was weaker than it had been the season prior in the Championship. They have PL money but they didn't have a PL team. They have brought in some astute signings, but let's be real, Moore and Rak-Sakiyi - a kid who has previously played no higher than Kamara has - are not PL calibre signings that should see them wiping us off the pitch.

I thought Rak-Sakyi looked very good, Moore not so much.

We just place a bizarre amount of emphasis on style. Coberan definitely was.

Football nowadays is just massively overcomplicated, largely by owners who don't have a clue but use clubs as vanity projects.
Annoyingly, I think if we had pushed the boat out, we could have got him in the summer to replace Rosie. West Brom are f*cked.

I really, really think we should give Walter more time. He's had his hands tied behind his back with all the transfers coming so late on and from here, there and everywhere.

He needs time to implement his style, his philosophy and to adapt to a new country and league. With the players coming from very different cultures and environments, they also need time to adapt. We have a very, very young team. They need time.

As much as Acun's done for the club and I really do like him and am so grateful he owns our club, he and his team have really hampered Walter's start here due to the late transfers. He HAS to give him time. If he doesn't, I will start to seriously question his decision making.

One of the most sensible posts we've had on it all so far

I think they’ll be getting in trouble soon as the takeover fell through.

They probably had the best window in the division though.

Cooper one of the best in the division last season
Burrows - who we should’ve got and sold Giles.
Souttar - good experienced centre back
Gilchrist - good prospect
Rak Sakyi - same as above
Moore - seasoned player
Callum o Hare - same as above

All whilst keeping hold of Hamer, Vinicius Souza (we were linked with in the first window under Acun) and Ahmedozic.

In terms of squad building for the division it’s pretty much perfect, I don’t know how they were so poor tbh

You don't have to be ITK to know it's not a happy camp.

It's obvious, the reasons why are less clear.

It's obvious players aren't going to be happy about results so far, but I assume you are meaning 'not happy' in a more fundamental way than just that?

Another big grenade to lob. Please expand. Who's unhappy? How do you know? How is it so obvious? etc. Videos & photos I see, and interviews I hear, it seems like a happy enough camp to me, other than frustration with the results.

If we had have appointed Corberan it would have been harder for Acun to spin his 'I want entertaining football' line. Corberan's West Brom last season were very efficient - but not pretty on the eye. I'd have had no problem with that - I think we just need to get out the league by whatever means - but it would have been interesting to see the reaction. Arguably its an easier sell to people who want promotion.

I'm also in the Walter needs more time camp - but I think we quickly need to show signs of improvement now he's had his squad together a few more weeks and we've got some winnable games coming up.

Starting with a winless streak is not good for young teams. These guys need confidence to improve, that's not gonna turn around easily.

Molby, Slutsky, Shota now Wally. Foreign managers don't work for us. Even Silva the half decent one took us down.

Sorry but Tim Walter has to be ****ed off and pretty damn quickly. We are a shambles front to back. There is nothing positive that I can take from any of this. We create more chances for the opposition than we do for ourselves.

Short corners, zonal marking, player rotations can all just **** off.

He’s just ****e.

Lose tonight, draw with Cardiff, both games without scoring a goal and I'll go full tonto that he's gone, less than a hour after Cardiff.
