I wonder which Financial Advisor gave him the go a head for all this. Did he say it was connected to the University?
What's the idea?
In short, it was funding the building of the East Stand Upper, by selling ten year season tickets that guaranteed to cover the build cost.
Can you remember who it was please as I have looked and looked but cannot find it. Ta

Yeah I remember the thread too! Sorry I can't remember either.
That extension plan is a good one but not viable. Really it means the club will lose out on cash at least until the east stand extension is finished. We need a revenue boost now, but its surely a good idea to keep in mind once the clubs trading in the black.
Who thinks we need the ground capacity increasing?Apart from 10 games in the prem-where we could let the big clubs turn it into a home fixture we would lose the little atmosphere we have.I have been looking back at how often we play with a crowd way under capacity.Unless I can see no good reason to increase capacity other than by changing the North stand into our "kop" and introduce safe standing
Thats actually a great idea, increase the capacity at probably 10% of the build cost. Wasnt the FA looking at introducing some trials very soon?
Aston Villa currently have a trail area in the Holte end I think
They want one, but the law has to be changed first.
One thought: local papers often CAMPAIGN or launch campaigns against or for a particular issue. It helps sells papers. Could CTWD persuade the HDM sports editor, or even the editor, to back a campaign to preserve the Hull City name? It would of course risk a fallout with the Allams. We're speaking with all media outlets locally and nationwide, with regard to everything that crops up.
The HDM are well aware that the majority are against the name change, they're also well aware that AA lost the plot in various interviews yesterday, particularly his final one on 5Live, which hopefully will go up on their site shortly(Mark Pougatch called him Dr Alarm)![]()

I passed that post onto the rest of the group and it was quite well received, though we're trying to stick solely with the name change issue for now.
There's been various conversations with regard to the stadium and anything that we can come up with to generate more revenue, but AA does not have ground expansion as a priority at the moment, as we not actually short of capacity, we're only just selling out the seats we've got.
Great idea. It'd be worth a try but wouldn't be surprised if the HDM were more interested in preserving their position for future interviews etc. Couldn't blame them if they did really.
