what is nonsense about it ? they got the first part right and you had made an offer .. now that unofficial offer has been rejected .. which was another piece of information correct too .. now what is left is did you offered some players plus cash, may be not officially at first offer ... we don't know what is happening under the table, but to assume all news are not true, well that is just pure stupidity .. could be true and could be not .. and given how they got the first 2 parts right, will not rule out that possibility

Disappointed we're after Rooney tbh. I think the 16m was a fair offer, wouldn't want us to increase that.
Jose seems content if we don't get him so if they won't accept it then good as far as I'm concerned.

Mate you talk crap.
If the press came out and said Utd had offered money plus RVP for a player and then Utd denied it. You would be saying "Utd have denied the story....end of".
Please stop being so undeniably tribal.

why not? with 2 new managers coming in to both clubs? may be some players don't fit their style than other options

How does Mata not fit in with someones style?
He has been our best player two seasons running.
I think Jose would give him atleast a season before just ousting the guy.
Can you imagine if Barca got a new manager who said "Messi doesnt fit into my style, im selling him" the fans would be up in arms. An extreme analogy I know, but a similar thing.

According to Jason Cundy (someone who, let's all agree, probably understands a little bit more about professional football, professional footballers, and professional football managers than most people on here) is of the opinion that Mata is too defensive for Mourhino's style of play and that he would have trouble finding a role for him in his tactical set-up, whereas a player like Rooney would be perfect for him.

I admit i know little about football , and not as good as you at least, hhhh do you want me to remind me why you said UTD fans are sh!tting themselves when you signed Rafa bcz they know the success he will bring to the club .. and that Rafa is better manager than Sir Alex.. yeahh am the one who have no clue in football <laugh>

ok at least you talk some sense here <ok>
sure every manager will love to have Mata, but the whole point is to give something UTD may want to tempt us selling rooney, throwing someone we don't want is not the idea
you have attacking people like Mata, such as Oscar or Hazard, but you miss players who work hard and keep the balance right
beside, I think Rooney can sell more shirts than Mata, attract more sponsors than Mata especially in UK.
in all honesty, i doubt the news are true .. but i will not rule it out too, as there is small chance it can happen
