How does Mata not fit in with someones style? He has been our best player two seasons running. I think Jose would give him atleast a season before just ousting the guy. According to Jason Cundy (someone who, let's all agree, probably understands a little bit more about professional football, professional footballers, and professional football managers than most people on here) is of the opinion that Mata is too defensive for Mourhino's style of play and that he would have trouble finding a role for him in his tactical set-up, whereas a player like Rooney would be perfect for him.
