The mancs went crazy buying pogba shirts, no sorry the Surrey and overseas fans went mad buying pogba ****. They will do it again here.
Yes Ronaldo delivered the champions league to Juve easily and last season he made the difference to win them the league. Oh no hang on he did non of those things he's 36 years old glory signing. ****ing hell have a word with yourself
Ecstatic tbh mate. No word of a lie. Had no idea it was happening. Got in the car, switched on the radio and hear someone on LBC of all channels say "Manchester United have re-signed Cristiano Ronaldo" I think the initial shock and then the realisation I heard the words Manchester Umited and it was like we'd won the cup final.
Man utd revenue 627mil precovid 509mil in 2020. Lfc revenue 533 pre covid. 498mil in 2020 Totally 11mil difference between the clubs in revenue. Let's not kid ourselves that utd have that much more money to spend. 70mil on a stand 50mil on training ground All self funded cos fsg won't put anything in. I would rather pay for anfield Road end for fans than 50mil per year to Ronaldo personally. Utd have spent 460mil on transfers in last 5 years net. Their fans think their owners are mean. Our net spend is supposedly 165mil over 5 years. Our fans think our owners are mean. BTW our net spend is similar to brighton Utd wage bill 183mil last year. Liverpool wage bill 122mil last year Both players only.
Sancho and Varane are good signings. I feel like you've signed Ronaldo to stop City doing so, but not sure he really improves you. Having said that being able to bring Ronaldo on is certainly better than Origi
I would say he'll terrorise defences and score goals. More than anything though I'm looking forward to watching us play with him in a United shirt and how others will benefit on the pitch from his presence. But even if we put all that to one side, the standards he'll bring to the likes of Greenwood, Rashford, Sancho, Amad (fck knows even James) will be incredible.
All true. Ego is as bad in a different way to pogba, more like Zlatan on roids. He is nearly as professional as milner, nearly as good as kane at scoring despite doing nothing and of course is the legend reincarnated. Born winner always helps a side needing a backbone too. However Fernandes might need to make way on pens and frees
While I agree that he'll be a decent player in his right, I think this is a good point. It'll help bringt back so of the mentality United have so sorely missed the last few years. Between him and Messi, Messi always seemed the more naturally gifted, while Ronaldo got where he was more through willpower and hard work (and Talent as well obviously). If he can instill that in the others, it could be a major leap for you. Could be a few egos in the dressing room though. Will this inspire Pogba - he plays better when the Chips are up - or will he get the hump. Then again, is he off anyway and would you miss him overall?
Yeh absolutely you can't fault his dedication tbf. Nobody trains harde or is as focused. He'll be a great role model in terms of commitment to training and then the things they'll learn off him to improve their game is worth its weight. I don't know about Pogba but first thing he'll do is slap Lingard really hard . Or at least I hope so. He'll be wanting to play to the top of his game. There's a world cup next year, probably his last, and he'll be wanting to be at his best for that.
I wonder if it has anything to do with Mendy rape case. One rapist in jail, another on the field. They would soon be know as Rape City.
It's hard to say what will happen. Obviously, Ronaldo is still an excellent footballer, even if he is isn't what he was in his Real days, but it is a team sport and bringing in an ego like that can have some unexpected consequences.
