Then I am lost with sacking Mowbray. If the club are happy with a lower league position, why the commentary about sacking him? There is a fundamental rift appearing between the actions of the leadership team and the expectations of the leadership team. I watch with interest to who is next in the hotseat. My suspicion is it will be someone who doesnt know enough to challenge the leadership team, or who doesnt have enough in the tank to do it. Hope I am wrong, but alarm bells starting to tinkle a little wit me.
Probably because they don't see him as the man to take us forward. Its all about building yr on yr, thats why you focus on signing young players as in theory they should keep getting better. They clearly didnt feel TM was the man to take us forward, and thats fine, they just need to nail this appt

TM has under performed this season for sure. Tactically been really poor, his subs are shocking and his excuses about being an inexperienced side was getting boring. We played great football last season but this season we havent had that spark. Unfortunately i could only see us dropping with TM in charge - not into a relegation battle or anythinb like that but just a bottom half finish

This appt is the biggest one yet and they need to nail it otherwise the pressure on them will ramp up by some fans

It won't be true or TM would have walked. He doesn't need the money or the hassle. It's just another way to try having a dig at the club.
This 100%, unless u actually know, first or second hand, ie you’re a player or once removed (dad, wife best friend etc), in which case you wouldn’t post it on an internet chat room, you should keep speculation as just that, and qualify it. I’ll bet my bottom dollar several of the rumours on here and across the road are chatter at the sol and the pubs on Saturday. By Sunday they’re true and back on the message boards.

Exactly why play a centre half, as a centre half when u can shoe horn the club captain into the position, why play a system using an attacker, when you can make the attackers look impotent by playing a system we played when we had none, etc etc. TM stepped in and did a grand job last season, he should have gone on a high when his contract expired, it was never going to work.

What I can't understand is this.
Loads saying TM has underperformed.
Well our injured list is long, he was playing teenagers upfront, in a hard man's world, the championship, he had issues over who had been brought in, and was KINDA asked / told to play players to meet contract demands.
Any coach would struggle with these issues.

It's a really fair point. That's why I have always said the model needs to have some flex in it.

Guess we will find out, but lets not rewrite history here. Rusyn is 25 so not a teenager, I've proven multiple times that it was the systems fault not the strikers for the lack of chances and goals they were getting under Mowbray, the worst player we brought in over the summer was arguably Dack who was the player with the most experience and the one Mowbray clearly had a big say in so I am happy he had a small say in who came in.

Totally, but KS has got KLD fixed on this plan.
It is not sustainable never mind self funding
Are you just ignoring the sale of Lihadji and Stewart? I feel like i'm going to go crazy with the lack of awareness within this fanbase. The model works, we have went from a mid table league one side to a promotion chasing championship side in 3 years, that is good.

As someone already mentioned it will all come out in the wash.

Theres usually a 'stay quiet' contract on paying up the remainder of the contract. You can always tell when its expired as the sacked nanager suddenly appears on everything from TV to radio to remind everyone he's there and ready for a job.

Mowbray will also have a trusted journalist so I'm sure his side of the story will emerge.

Read the pathetic Louise Taylor article or Bernie Slavens tweets, he's already trying to spin his narrative.

No that money was earmarked for team building not for club decorations

Excuse me mate, working just fine ??? we just sacked the best manager we have had in years playing the best football in years over a Sporting director who loves himself to bits.
So you’re saying we were wrong to get rid Bob? We’ll see. You can’t have been watching us very closely recently. ****e.

Who do we have a contractual obligation to play (sorry if I’ve misinterpreted what you’re saying)?

I know people will likely say Jobe or Burstow but both have been dropped at different times.

It's Tony ****ing Mowbray. Not Pep. Calm down, man.

We've lost a journeyman who did well until he stopped doing well and he is now gone.

It's really not the end of the world.

We move on and enjoy the fact we are in a better place than where the owner and sporting director found us.

Which it of course clearly does. Otherwise we don’t end up with Dack coming in and getting a squad place over Rigg. Or Roberts and O’Nien signing long term contracts despite being that much older. Or Aouchiche, Rusyn, Hemir etc only seeing sporadic game time.

Seems that Mowbray’s self preservatory spin has permeated pretty effectively.
