Jesus, fukin Christ. I honestly think the average IQ of the fans of Hull City would be close to the lowest in the country. I hate having to listen to the reaction of complete and utter numptys before getting the after match reaction from the manager, players etc.
Thats what happens when you try to focus on more than one sport and try to have knowledge of both Sports/Teams. He said he was a Hull KR & Hull City Fan For me its one or the other, not both, clearly knows Jack all about Football
Barmby says AGAIN " Was'nt Good Enough" No S*it Sherlock but how you gonna change it before we lose to 3rd Bottom at home on Saturday?
Again, what do you want him too say? If he doesn't say that, he'll get slated. If he blames everyone under the sun, he'll get slated. If doesn't turn up to the interview, he'll get slated. He can't ****in win.
What's wrong with this interview? What did you want him to do? He's apologised to the fans and admitted it wasn't good enough. He can only work with what he's got. Fair enough he's made a few mistakes but this is his first season. He didn't have to take the job. He got given nothing in January to improve the squad. He's constantly learning as a new manager. We need to stick with Barmbs, give him some funding in the Summer. You think Barmby's not trying to improve the team? You think he's happy we've lost 3 in a row? What's the solution then? I'm sure Barmby is looking for it but in truth, none of us know it do we? Everyone can say what he should've done but in reality if he did it, and we lost, he'd still get slated.
I find all you can do in situations like this is dig out your Smiths albums, and let the pain drift away. "Some girls are bigger than others..."
Bollocks is it. Benitez is clearly a ridiculous suggestion, but I think someone needs to sit down with Barmby and give him some help to be honest.
I was being facetious. I don't really believe that the poor performances are deliberate. I am truly fecked off by the apparent lack of desire in the last few games. I think we have an inexperienced manager has a team that is inexperienced (relatively) not playing well and doesn't have the skills to pull it around. As long as things were going well we had the setup to perpetuate it but I don't think we have the nous to turnaround this poor run in time to make any difference this year. hope I'm wrong. and, as dissappointed as I will be if we don't make the playoffs I will not be unhappy with another season in the championship, with an evolving, and at times great to watch, young team with some real talent. If we can keep it together then the experience gained this year will serve us well next.
If he kept the same team and lost we'd be saying the same thing. I don't think he should be criticised for trying different things. Cos they're a set of dirty ****s. The Championship is okay for neutrals but it's a pretty **** league to be in. You have to watch your team try to break down 11 defenders every single home game, hardly anyone just plays football. As for 'great to watch', I'm not having a go but can you name one example of a game this season that has been enjoyable to watch? There have been a few enjoyable results, but even then we've hardly been entertaining.
IF we can keep it together then experience may well serve a purpose... Though they say the hardest thing a manager ever has to do is turnaround poor form... well if this run continues how is someone with a few months experience going to handle it? Not to say Barmby can't cut it but I think many people on here forget how new to this he is. I know Barmby wanted to make his mark (and it's easy to say this in hindsight) but we were playing well under Pearson, with an established style that was winning us points with consistent performances... Why did something need to change this season? We were steadily moving our way up the table with the odd blip once a month. We still had a goalscoring problem but we'd go into games confident of getting at least a point. We spent a fair deal of time in the top 6, not outside of it. To throw that away for 'attractive football' just looks naive at this point. Especially seeing as we've drawn god knows how many games since and now appear to be leaking goals. If this is Pearson's team as some people say it is, and you're only going to bring one player in in January, then keep playing the system that your players know until you can make substantial changes in the summer. That way you'll get less disruption and you don't concede 7 or so goals in 3 games. Don't fix what isn't broken! We do have the players to make a push for promotion, because for most of this season we've been up there and have been very hard to beat... that's all gone out of the window now at a crucial stage. Hopefully this is just a transitional period where the players are adapting to Barmby's style... if that's the case then we regroup over summer and have a good go next season, I'm not impatient... But if this form turns into a problem then we could end up plummeting. Our poor form from December in our first prem season continued for about two years before we started winning regularly again!
