My dear old Nan was highly superstitious. "Things come in threes" being one which often led to her deliberately breaking an item or bashing herself against something to safeguard an item or body part that she didn't want to lose or hurt! This has stuck with me for decades and therefore, after hearing about Amorim and then Nancy today, I came on here fully expecting the Nan magic to work. Just over five hours to go......

As i have said before, when SR make a bad decision, it is often catastrophic.

I am reluctant to blame Tonda and feel that , like Still, he will come good. Just feel that changing the manager is not the option. Let him get his spurs the season but please give Tonda the coaching staff and players to mount a promotion bid next season.

Just think that the issue is with SR. Not impressed by the new assistant coach and feel that the recruitment of players has been erratic too. I agree that SR need to go. The expertise is not there to take Saints to the correct level. SR need to move on before we improve. Tonda needs the suppport just as the case was with Still. Just feel that SR are making informed decisions which they are incapable of properly implementing. After firing Still, they were at the last chance saloon.

I agree that Rohl would have been the better option but i do not feel that either Still or Tonda are quite as useless as Nathan Jones or Russell Martin. The former should never have been emoloyed whilst the latter should have been binned after promotion. Just feel that these decisions were obvious. SR do not seem to understand where improvements need to be made. I thought Spor would be the answer yet the decision making is still uneven despite thinking that Tonda was the correct appointment.

Tonda needs support whilst,by the same token , the club needs a management team that are competent. Not sure if Solak knows what this looks like or knows he is beimg sold a pup
With Damion Downs. If Solak does not know what good looks like,..he needs to sell up.

Following this thread from Alfie. Are the club finally leaking what many of us have suspected all

The one TSP I’ve listened to, before Still was sacked, he was alluding to this then. Basically saying there’s a group of players who think they are too good and it’s affecting everything. He didn’t name names but captaincy was discussed on the same podcast and someone mentioned THB as a candidate and the way he reacted would indicate that he is one of this clique

I assume it’s all the Martin faves. Manning, Downes, Stephens, Armstrong and THB but could be more/less

Yeah that would be my guess too. I can't shake the feeling that Downes and THB have stinking attitudes

I’ve heard a few things about Manning being a good guy so maybe harsh to include him, we should just get rid of him as he’s ****.

Who really knows though. How many of the current squad were relegated out of the PL the first time? Off the top of my head you’ve got Bazunu, McCarthy, Stephens, Aribo, Arma?

Bree and ABK as well but they’re not here. Not too many left from that era but can see some of them possibly being part of it

Stephens was out on loan the first relegation, so its just Bazunu, McCarthy, Aribo & Arma from your list, plus Edozie.

<whistle>

Honestly, for me at this point it’s get rid of:

• Either Sports Republic sell the club OR if they insist on staying then it has to be absolutely everyone sacked apart from Solak & Spors - keep it simple & have ONE Director of Business & ONE Director of Football!!!

• Tonda has to go. I really like the bloke and think he has a decent career ahead of him, but I want a bloody experienced coach, who can build something proper & wont take this prima donna ego fest we’ve ended up with…

• Bazunu
• McCarthy

• Bree
• Stephens
• Wood
• THB
• Manning
• Wellington

• Downes
• Aribo
• Fraser
• Edozie

• Adarma
• Archer
• Downs
• Stewart

Do not let our current best players waltz on out & set a precedent that we’ve needed for nearly a decade. (Build a team around Scienza, Jander, Charles, Azaz, Fellows, Edwards, Quarshie & buy some quality experienced players!) If you are on a long contract you are not going just because you want to!!!!

Actually play our best youth players instead of selling them to League One clubs and see them bang in double figures all while we sleepwalk into their place in the footballing pyramid.. makes you feel sick!

Rant over… I’m usually calm & collected as it gets but the more I sit on this situation atm the worse it just seems to get for me. Not felt this bad about Saints in a very very very long time. We have lost our soul

Bloody hell, a lot of bed wetting going on.

We have amazing owners that spend a fortune. Everyone has been telling me for ages how good they are, so I am sure it will turn around eventually.

I just can’t see it with THB or Adarma. They seem to me to be the only two (plus Scienza) who give a sh*t.

Downes I definitely believe it though, along with Stephens.

We just have too many crap players imo. Baz in goal, with Wood, Quarshie/Stephens in front of him is a joke of a defence for where we want to be. Can’t fathom how Edwards isn’t getting a look in, but presumably it’s because he is more old-skool in his defensive play rather than a side-passer.

I reckon there’s a combination of too much interference from Spors/SR, plus having no leaders on or off the pitch.

There was just no reason to give him the job when we did, could have carried on as interim and then when it became clear that shock, he doesn’t actually know what he’s doing at this level (which is no shade, he should be managing the U21s), we could have continued to search for and then bring in an experienced coach who the players respect and maybe even fear, and Tonda could have gone back to the U21s which is what we ****ing brought him in for. SR don’t have two brain cells to bang together though which they unfortunately like to frequently prove to us with all their absolutely ****ing **** decisions that have seen us plummet as a club under their ownership.
^^^ This 10,000% ****ing nuts. A multi million £ business being run by total brainless amateur's.
