He won't play this season for us (outside of the cups), but what's Dougie Wilson's preferred role in CM? Is he defensive or more box to box?
Meyler can break up play and give it to Huddlestone to do something with it. Koren won't get a look in should huddlestone sign I reckon.
Oh i think that Koren will get a look in if he did but it would have to be off the bench at times.
Huddlestone can deliver that killer pass for sure and we have enough players already that can win the ball. Its what you do with it once its won.
Bit harsh. He pretends to be a jessie half the time to win free kicks, but he's strong in the tackle when he needs to be. Huddlestone is known for his passing first and formost but he plays quite deep like Carrick for example so if we did sign him (unlikely) he could be the 'defensive' player with Meyler and Quinn in front of him.
Huddlestones passing ability with either foot is just unreal. Long pass, short pass, through balls, touch and technique, he has it all. Not to mention an immense shot. I don't think it'll happen sadly, although if it does I'm quite happy to walk from my house in Hessle, to the KC where I will walk around the stadium 3 times before walking home completely naked.
Hate to bring a certain mr Bullard into the thread but when he played a deeper role he set the tempo of our play brilliantly. Everyone looked to give him the ball and he had the ability to do something with it. Granted there was only a couple of games he really turned it on but he was class in that position. I'd love another classy player like that who can do it on a regular basis.
I'd be highly surprised if we could get Huddlestone here, but well worth a little snoop as it appears Brucie has done.

Anybody who believes we'd have a cat in hell's chance of getting Tom Huddlestone needs to up their medication!
Don't think playing for city would attract him but playing for Steve Bruce might.

Just that I think, although there are clearly some players - a lot actually - who are out of our reach, this is one that stretches us but might not be impossible; and upping my dosage of fish oil probably won't change my mind!

I just cannot see his agent contemplating allowing his client to move so far down the "Ruin-Your-CV" pecking order to permit him to consider coming to Hull.
Surely his next club will be a Sunderland or an Everton or Southampton?? That in itself would be a sacrifice for the sake of regular first team football. But to come to us would be a MASSIVE gamble where one is not necessary to accomplish whar Huddlestone wants.
