He made 28 appearances for Spurs last season, he seems to have been out all of March and most of December. Not that it matters, I don't think we ever had a realistic chance of signing him.
I understand where you're coming from, but I'm going to turn your statement on its head. Do we have the luxury of not taking a risk on at least one player (especially of Huddlestone's calibre)?
Properly managed and at the right price (subject to the medical of course) he would be ideal for us. imo.
