For those who are hoping that this all leads to the end of The Monarchy, can you at the same time say what you would replace it with.

Keep in mind please the examples that The World provides, of other Country's leaders.
Trump, Putin, Netenyahu all 'elected' leaders.
And of course we have our own Prime Ministers, who with a different constitution might have been 'Head of State'.
Blair, Johnson and Truss are just the most recent examples.

Lets not throw the Baby out with the bathwater.
I’d drastically condense the whole thing but leave the Monarchy with a role. They don’t need these endless properties in my opinion. If the Queen can easily afford to spunk £10m paying off Andrew’s victim they’re clearly being paid too much.

I really don't think the whole truth will come out as long as Trump or Andrew are still alive unfortunately, especially the latter.

He seems to have an excessive amount of power, even for a president, and he's the one that should be the main focus for any investigation. It's like he's untouchable.

Only hope is that someone internal gets so angry by it all they leak the full unredacted papers
I’m not wanting to get into an argument about this and there is of course another thread anyway, but…..
Considering a senior member of a senior monarchy within Europe has been arrested because of the Epstein files and that the Democrats have tried, with the best lawyers in the world to unsuccessfully prosecute Donald Trump, there may well be nothing in the files to incriminate him.
You may hate Trump and you can do that, but it’s probably not healthy to project that hatred into something that probably isn’t there just because you want it to be true.

We will probably never know the truth anyway for years of not decades. Every single person mentioned should be giving evidence in person for the sake of the victims.

All the people involved will have died, whether naturally or in suspicious circumstances, by the time any semblance of the truth comes out. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

You might also say it's not healthy to assume something 'probably isn't there' just because you want that to be true.

Whatever the political, business, wealth status or privilege of those involved, if they want people to respect the rule of law it needs full investigating, top to bottom. Everything in the open except the victims names. The said poster should want that as an ex copper. It was made clear last week that more is hidden than sorted. Without truth there will be rumour.

I’m not an ex copper mate. I still am one. I value the truth and integrity above anything. It’s one of the reasons I became a police officer. I’m proud of my job, just as I was proud of my military service to the UK.
The point I tried to make is that there is a lot of hate for Trump on here. Most of which is fed by the media who have their own agenda. If Trump is as terrible as he is made out to be then I suspect that would have all come out by now and he would be the most hated man on the planet. That so many have looked and looked and looked and not found anything that puts him on par with a Hitler/Stalin/Mussolini hybrid says something don’t you think?
I’m not saying he is a saint. We all know that he isn’t and he won’t be immune if he is like that.
Andrew has been arrested and he is part of a much older institution that seeks to protect itself at all costs. An institution with more to lose than Donald Trump.
You and others can hate him as much as you want. But that hate has to be driven by his actions not by hyperbole.

I couldn't agree with you less on that point.

This is always the rhetoric, that people use, and we're portrayed as gullible misinformed fools who's minds and opinions are ruled by a handful of journalists and those in the media. I hate Donald Trump because of what he is, what he does and what he says ...

... I feel entirely justified in my hatred, I believe he's an evil man who doesn't care about 'his people' and his country.

I heard the same defence applied to Boris Johnson and how it was all the fault of the 'media agenda'.

Sorry, it just doesn't work no matter how much you try to apply it.

From what I’ve seen this is treason …

… not ‘high treason’ but treason nonetheless.

“The Treason act made provision for future cases of treason beyond what could be imagined at the time, and would be expanded to include religious treasons, treasonous thoughts, political plots, revolutionary movements and subversion against the state.

As far as I’m concerned Andrew is bang to rights.

Aye, no doubting hes behaved appallingly and needs dragging to a court to face justice. Horrible bloke.....but hes not a *****.....yet?

It's takes an awful lot for me to accuse anyone of being a *****phile believe me.

It's an horrific thing to call someone and I'd need to be absolutely sure.

But some entirely guilty people are found 'innocent' such as OJ Simpson ...

... while innocent people are found guilty.

My point being that, just because Andrew hasn't yet been found guilty that doesn't mean he's innocent.

If he's found guilty in 10 years time it will mean he was just as guilty today.

Not being charged, taken to court and prosecuted doesn't mean he's currently innocent.

It may just be a matter of time and the process of law ...

... but I'm entitled to my opinion and I'd lock him up now tbh.

Mandelson has been arrested now!

That was inevitable wasn't it, I'm so pleased.
