Either way great use of taxpayers money.

Shall we spend £10m or £12m to employ some doctors, nurses or teachers? No we will pay that to keep a lass who was abused by her privileged son to keep quiet. Every time he had bad press the Queen would parade him. Shocking judgement.

If we are going to investigate Mandelson and question Starmers judgement (rightly so) we have to do the same with the late Queen and her vile dysfunctional family.

I would encourage anyone to read Dr Andrew Lownie’s recent book on them. A good read and the British taxpayer was basically flying Andrew around the world, staying in the best hotels so he could line his pockets, shag and fund his and Fergies debauched lifestyle. He interviewed over 400 people in their circle over a number of years on oath.

We need a fundamental look at this family.
He’s a private citizen. He can’t interview anyone under ‘oath’ as far as I’m aware.
I’m no big fan of the royal family but we can’t put them all under scrutiny because of one member. That would be like saying everyone who represents Sunderland AFC are sexual predators because of one former player.

Perhaps I got terminology wrong, he did an interview recently and of the 400 people he interviewed for the book many were off the record (for obvious reasons) but many were on and were happy to be named.

the royal family should be under scrutiny, they get millions of tax payers money and should be treated as any civil servant. Their shenanigans have went on for a long time but obviously Andrew and Ferguson have raised the profile.

If some want to question Starmers judgement (fairly) the royals should have the same treatment. Disregard the sexual improprieties for a moment the trips Andrew went on were publicly funded. He always had to travel first class or have his own aeroplane and stayed at the top hotels when there were much cheaper and safer alternatives such as staying at embassies. He had little interest in the country he was there to shag and feather his own nest or try and bail out Fergie again. Even Epstein was sick of Fergie pestering him for money.

...and yet again, those who had the best evidence (and able to speak out) are no longer with us, when are people actually going to realise that things just keep repeating, a couple of suicides or unexplained sudden deaths and we go back to 'normal' until the next name is caught or accused.

i hoped that after the jimmy saville sh1t began that we would see a whole bunch jailed but i seem to remember that the trail suggested government and royalty involvement then it went dead.

If that is proven in court AND he was to go to jail he will die for that. He would be a target regardless but that is beyond fk me I am lost for words.
I don't usually struggle for words, but with regards the stuff coming out in the Epstein files, there ARE no words to describe how sick these people are. Or at least I am unaware of strong enough words to describe it. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

My sympathies lie entirely with the Royal protection officers tbh.

Having been in much lower grade situations I have to say it's sometimes part of the job to turn a blind eye.

I know, for example, one of the posters on here would've been involved in these duties and it's a very complicated role. Your primary responsibility is to 'the principle' and expected to protect them at all costs. Sadly the likes of 'Prince Andrew' would take full advantage of that and expect his protection to cover his sad arse when their natural inclination would be to report him or, at least, decline to help.

In those cases 'Prince Andrew' would immediately contact the officer's superior and ask for him to be removed from duty. So the officer is 'tarnished' and the new man is put into an invidious situation.

That's how it all works so it's good to see senior officers asking their Royal protection officers to consider what they've seen and heard and report it. They'll be reluctant but I hope they do that for their sake and those who come after them.

One thing is for sure if he was at pizza express there would have been close protection officers there to witness it!(payroll logs of who and when)Im amazed that even the press do not ask about this ?I have never seen a single item by the TV press stating that Andrew has 24/7 close protection from the police and that every hour of the day are accounted for. I can only assume this is deliberate by the media but im just not sure how they get away with it..... the public aint stupid!

Of course there would, especially if his children were there. In my opinion the Royals put too much pressure on their protection officers and stretch 'discretion' way too far.

As more and more stuff comes out I would think they will have no choice but to co-operate with the authorities. I think Charles statement hints at that.
