I cannot recall ever agreeing with Jeremy Clarkson..

But I have been reading about the Ford F-150 Lightning... a true (huge) American Pick-Up...

I want one, don't know why, its totally impractical and I do not have a work use for it, but I still want one.

This isn't a generalisation, some not all, just from experience, but amazon drivers. Not only do the think they're rally drivers, chucking an extra long wheel base sprinter around like dangerous f**kin idiots, but now apparently lobbing parcels over fences is now classed as "handed to resident". Absolute ****e attitudes. Getting as many parcels "delivered" for more money is replacing common sense and road safety.

Have they taken over the baton from Yodel then cos they were seriously shocking a while back.
In fairness we've never had an issue with our Amazon deliveries.

The public are to blame.

Stop ordering Chinese made shyte from Amazon and always hitting the 'now now now' button.

The more they deliver the more money the get. Amazon put pressure on because order now and get it in two hours. Amazon offer a service to the customer, however the delivery part is the issue. Not all drivers, but quite a few are dangerous knackers.

We are hiring a private detective to find the item we ordered and got "Delivered" on Saturday. Went on line to see what to do if the parcel isn't with us even though the driver has claimed it was delivered to the customer. Basically said "it'll turn up, check behind bins, and knock on neighbours", absolutely shocking. We try and go to shops but in all honesty, customer service in most places are shocking since lockdown. So you try and support local, but attitudes can be crap.

A couple of weeks back, I was driving along the 1231 on my way to the match, when i was passed by two Amazon vans racing each other along the dual carriageway!! IDIOTS

The trouble is Smug, nearly everything you buy these days, is made in China!!
I try to buy British when I can but it's getting more difficult to find anything actually made in Britain

My Uncle, Norman Thorn was on the Lancasters, I wonder if he knew him? Brave lads beyond belief.

I managed to have a chat with Joe today. He said he was based at Waddington and I think Saltec or Soltec. He said he was in the 5th something squadron (mumbled and couldnt understand him) and that they were moved out from where he was to make way for the Dambuster team.
He also mentioned 616 and 617 squadrons. Dont know if that means anything
I didnt realise how big the bomber squadron was and that there were that many. I assumed, and obviously wrongly, it was a small dedicated team.
He knew a guy by your uncles name but from his fireman days and not in the Lancaster team.

Thanks for asking mate <ok> shame he didn’t know him personally.

While I do find the South stand being called the Roker End cringe as f**k, at least its a named stand. I find it odd that a 25 year old football stadium only has 1 stand named.

It's a drama about the lives of the Border reivers around this area, showing in November around the region. We've got tickets for the 19th Nov in Durham, looks really interesting. Have a Google of it, it looks like it'll interest you.

Cheers, that's brilliant and the first I knew.

I'll send it round the family in Durham and Northumberland.

Off to Google it now.
