I'm not sure of relevance of the rest of your ramble but I hope it made you feel better

I explained earlier why I think it's important

I suppose because any use of hull city by the club is seen as a good thing in my eyes at this stage.

At least when the just use The Tigers there is at least the pretence that they're using the nickname in a familiar sort of way
When they use HCT they are just blatantly trying to rename the clubs playing name

    That bothers me

Hull City Tigers, however, they have claimed is, and always has been, the clubs playing name. So to me using it isn't even bothering to pretend they're just using the nickname, it is effectively saying '**** you, we've decided this is the name we're going to use and we're not even going to pretend to have a reason to not just use Hull City anymore...and you can't do anything about it'

    Now THAT's a ramble.

    Nope
That is my view on the topics being discussed on this thread i.e. the use of Hull City Tigers
No one else is discussing boycotts etc because that's not what is being discussed.
You're free to start another thread for that though

I am sorry if you think that my view has anything to do with the owners. I believe that in all walks of life there is room to reach a compromise. I never take the view that my opinion is right, I am always prepared to listen and give ground and I do not shout at someone until they except my view.

I do not like or support individuals owning football clubs, I have said it before, I believe in supporter involvement, total ownership by the community. My sporting background is in sports clubs run by members for members. Football to me suffers because of private and corporate ownership and I would prefer the sporting club model to be used. I do not support protest in the stadium and I tried it once and saw straightaway that it had no place in a game.

What I do not like is the use of my first name on a forum that has usernames. I do not know why you feel the need to identify me constantly on here.

Maybe I'm being pedantic but it ****s me off when they don't use 'The' when they use Tigers.

We are Hull City by name, City to most fans or The Tigers - as it's our nickname

Very similar to Manchester United, United or The Red Devils

We are not Hull City Tigers, Hull Tigers or Tigers imo

    Hull City OSC @HCOSC_Official
Productive and upbeat Fans Liaison meeting tonight. Will sum up as best we can tomorrow. Full minutes were taken and will be available.

That's inaccurate propaganda, plain and simple. The Supporters Committe is a complete and utter waste of time, everyone involved knows it, including the OSC. Obviously there was no summing up, as there's nothing to sum up, Rowell doesn't even accept that any of the issues exist he's not going to address any of them.

The OSC do some good stuff with their fundraising etc, but they try and put a positive spin on whatever **** the owners throw at us and that's political, whatever is claimed on here.

But they're not saying Hull City - Hull Tigers and Hull City Tigers is NOT Hull City - that's the point and anyone who thinks its some kind of halfway house kind of compromise can **** right off - I'm sure Ehab thinks he's being clever by misleading supporters that he's now using Hull City when he's not - let's see what he does with the Wolverhampton Wanderers / Wolves advert and see how deals with that - no doubt it will be Hull City v Wolverhampton which nobody uses

It is indeed toeing. It originated from the start of races where you couldn't have your foot over the line to gain an advantage.

What a load of absolute bollocks. OLM, We published on our old web site, just because you cannot see it now does not mean it did not happen. The Director who attended reported things as he saw them. We asked supporters via facebook and twitter what questions we should raise and these were raised. Second paragraph, I do not know who raised the point but we were asked to and it was raised. Now you may argue that what was said and minuted was just to fob supporters off, but on two occasions to my recollection, you have been to meetings and held back information at the request of the club and the SAG.

This is the notes from the meeting

    Communication

    · The club acknowledged that communication is important and are keen to address this. They are hoping to have another interview with Ehab after the current transfer window. Ehab will comment on what has happened and not on what might happen. It was also noted that Ehab is fully open to such interviews and these should happen more often.

    · The use of Tigers TV and other media outlets should also see a greater amount of communication from the club with staff and players.

    Use of Club name

    ·
Requested that Hull City was reinstated on all media channels like the Twitter has been. Option suggested by club for the Facebook to be changed to HullCityTigers as per the business name.

    · Point was raised that the club does not have a policy not to use Hull City and the new website content shows this.

    Concessions/ membership

    · Concessions were requested to be reinstated as costs for children were highlighted.

    · Club is on course to sell 11,000 memberships and there are over 300 new members signed up this season. A breakdown of the membership numbers by age profile was requested and the club said they would release this.

    · Members rewards are still based around the two pots (Spend in retail and receive retail points, spend on tickets and receive ticket points) however there are plans to merge the two to spend points were members want.

    · Membership cards are being dispensed zone by zone and this started this week.

    Transfers

    · All transfers out of the club have finished unless there is a huge offer for a player. All the departed players were due to release clauses being met, huge offers (Maguire) or offers too good to turn down (Robertson).

    · Contrary to some reports Huddlestone WAS offered a new contract BEFORE the approach from Derby, City also offered him improved terms after the approach.

    · The club expect that five more signings is realistic and the club will have a wage budget on par with a top 6 team.

    Tigers TV/ Streaming

    · The club are currently assessing the idea of streaming games to fans outside the UK. However there is a big cost to this and there isn’t the sufficient equipment at the moment. The club will be releasing an update about this by the end of the week.

    · They plan to make full match replays available 24 hours after the game.

    · There was a request from an OSC member to have more child friendly videos on the YouTube channel like Soccer AM style and this is in the pipeline. Made easier through Leonid Slutsky being more ‘fun’.

    Match day

    · The OSC was asked to raise the point about home fans being held back from the East Stand after a game. The club do this on advice from security/ police and there are no plans to change this.

    · Wi-Fi: Club aware of the poor internet connection in the ground and are investigating this.

    · PA: Acknowledge that there is a problem but there are no plans to address this as it would take a six figure sum to change.

    · South Stand is the dedicated Family Zone and there are plans to have activities on the concourse during a game. An astroturf area has been installed for children to use in the South Stand.

    Food/ Drink

    · Club expanding range of hot products to include Southern Fried Chicken, chicken burgers, Pizza twists and chip spice and a new range of pies.

    · Samples were offered and all in attendance agreed the quality and price were good.

    · Looking to make kiosks contactless to make service quicker.

    · No plans to change the range of beers as bottles need to be plastic; anything else will mean a longer wait at the kiosk as beer/ cider would have to be decanted.

If they act like the Allams yes, but from day 1 I'll give them my support, why wouldn't I? There isn't a criteria for 'good' owner. They start off as neutral and only an incredible level of ****itude similar to that of the Allams would see me not going to games again. You might think these two are better than previous owners. I don't. I think they're not just inept but abhorrent.

Apologies, I wasn't aware that you'd posted them on a website that no longer exists and didn't link to them from your social media accounts. My mistake.

Quite how anyone could describe the above as 'positive' is beyond me, but hey ho.

Hopefully, after the minutes come out, some of those who were there will actually give details of what responses the nonsense above received.

I think that's an extremely fair summary.

I disliked the nature of the old OSC, but TOM's doggedness in explaining the 'new look' OSC led me to look a lot closer. The result is that I happily applaud the actions of TOM and his colleagues, both within the community and for charity; my earlier comments should not be seen as any detraction from this genuine respect.

I asked TOM if he is still the comms man (the last I had heard), the reason is exactly what you highlight; the spin put on club initiatives is poor and political and damages the image the OSC is working hard to establish. With these owners, success and failure are just short steps apart.
