There were a few who didn't fuss over a name change, but more and more have seen the other **** the Allams have done over the last few years. The home support will be a very sad thing to see this season and some people who care more for their online persona will blame the likes of me.
The last bit lost me. On here I am a poster with a view that is subject to debate. I do not blame any supporter for having their own view even if it is different to mine. I might argue with posters, but I do not think less of them.
I have objectives in supporter involvement and they are important to me.

Using the company name on everything is just a continuation of what's gone on before. For me the name of the club died when it was rejected the second time around. The Allams treat Hull City supporters with contempt. The name is only a small part of that. If Ehab wants to build bridges and sort out the mess him and his dad have created he needs to talk with the Trust and the OSC about finding solutions to the use of the name, concessions and the closure of the upper west. It isn't rocket science. Using Hull City Tigers is a bit like trying to treat a severed limb with a sticking plaster.

I have not lost sight of the issue.

It has to be better than just Tigers vs Burton Albion.
actually I don't agree that it is better

I'm not having a pop at you by the way, I just see it differently

To me when they use Tigers it annoys me, and I find it petulant, but at least they have never tried to suggest that it is the clubs playing name. They hide behind it being the nickname, but they've never suggested that the club has been called Tigers since 1904, or tried to change the name of the club to Tigers

Hull City Tigers, however, they have claimed is, and always has been, the clubs playing name. So to me using it isn't even bothering to pretend they're just using the nickname, it is effectively saying '**** you, we've decided this is the name we're going to use and we're not even going to pretend to have a reason to not just use Hull City anymore...and you can't do anything about it'

I do agree with you that sadly many people won't give two ****s though, which is a huge shame as to me this should be challenged as strongly as possible

This is the thing - if he did these 3 (simple things) he would get a lot of good will from people. Not everyone (and not a lot from me) but it isn't hard is it?

1) Use our name
2) Bring back concessions
3) West Stand Upper / seating

The reason a lot of people think Ehab is a complete **** is because the answer is very simple

Is there really no other way, without towing the Allam line? Anyway Mel, I'm off to bed.

Corrected for you ;)

Actually I get the confusion experienced by OLM amongst others over Burton Albion name.

It's not on their badge.

Even just number 1 would cause a huge uplift in supporter attitudes (and I'm not saying the other two aren't important too)

You really don't get what Mels saying or you're choosing to ignore it.

He's not towing anyone's line, least of all the Allams.

Isn't it toeing the line? I kind of imagined it was something to do with having your feet on the right side of the 'do not cross' line

*I do realise that this may not be the biggest issue of word use around the club at the moment !

Unfortunately, the relationship has reached a point that there's not enough members this season to justify opening the West Upper.

They're driving us away :(

He does not use Hull Tigers nor does he use Hull City Tigers.

He's not in cahoots with the club at all.

He's made that crystal clear.

I realise OSC bashing is popular among some on here, I didn't have you or Kemps in that group tbh.

Frig me. Soz Den. Just reread what you put.

It's been a long day

I thought it was towing and sommat to do with barges or boats!

I still have no empathy with those for whom this is a major issue. For people to say they will boycott matches until the Allams leave; what if they are bought out by someone worse? Will you still refuse to attend? And what are your criteria for deciding we have a good owner? I attended matches during periods of ownership by low-lifes like Fish, Lloyd, Bartlett and Duffen - and I don't regard the current owners as worse than any of them. Besides, Ehab has given up hope of changing the clubs name, but his ego means he can't help but make petulant gestures. Nothing has been said in the past that can't be forgotten. (Unless you're a puff who is still upset by the "I wish they would die" comment.) Meanwhile, it would really help if we could get behind Slutsky and the team.

It's far worse than just The Tigers in my opinion...in fact I think it's an abomination
I'm just surprised when everyone's been screaming at them to use our name, and they look for a compromise from their point of view and it elicits worse abuse. Yes I know hull city tigers isn't our name and won't ever be, but at least they're not avoiding all use of hull city.
