I have said it before and I will say it again . Hong Kong Saint called it . The new owner is NOT in it for the interests of SFC , what his interests are , is anyone's guess .

Pretty sure someone posted that relegation would not be a disaster for him , if he was not looking long term at the clubs fate .

But Kat is holding on to 20% as she won’t let her father’s legacy be threatened, and Ralph did lots of due diligence on the new owner to make sure he was the right type....

....what a bloody mess. Jobs for the boys.

Decision made.... he's gone! New appointment will be critical but hey, Stoke have lost; so STILL ABOVE the bottom three.
If, and it's quite probable, if the Prem results go our way at the weekend, Saints could still be above the bottom three AND in an F. A. Cup semi-final :emoticon-0148-yes: with a game in hand to boot!
Yep, my glass is still half-full :emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer::emoticon-0167-beer:

Thank you for doing the right thing. Now go and get Silva.

Given his Prem history do you think that he would be the best choice going forward?
Good job at Hull...... but couldn't save 'em. Flying start at Watford..... then showed no respect when Everton made overtures; then sulked (?), showed little loylty and took the Watford side into a downward spiral.

The next appointment at St Mary's is critical................. and must be for the LONG TERM. A third manager in less than two years ain't great. And the revolving door mentality for team managers at the club (for whatever reason) isn't the stable structure that the team / club need

Yes. As I posted on the other thread, I think he’s the best realistic option right now.

High press, attacking style. Like you told us Pellegrino was when you appointed him, except that he actually does play that style.

I stopped reading at “flying start” and thought, yes please that’ll do.

Well that is that then, LesReed1964 has confirmed it won't be Silva. Long term appointment, I'm going for Steve Davis player manager

Been looking at the remaining fixtures for our new manager to take us to survival. All I keep hearing is about our tough run in, but looking at the 7 teams who in my opinion are still in the scrap, only Palace have a reasonable run in. We all have at least 3 of the current top 6 to play, except Palace X1 and West Ham X4.
West Ham also have 5 games remaining at home, which might not be to good for them. Newcastle the same as us with X3 at home and 5 away games.

STOKE:- Top 6 Games:- ARSENAL (A) / SPURS (H) / LIVERPOOL (A)
(27) 6 Pointers:- W'HAM (A) / PALACE (H) / SWANSEA (A)
Flip Flops:- EVERTON (H) / BURNLEY (H)
Final Game:- SWANSEA (A)

PALACE:- Top 6 Games:- LIVERPOOL (H)
(27) 6 Pointers:- H'FIELD (A) / STOKE (A)
Flip Flops:- B"MUFF (H) / BRIGHTON (H) / WATFORD (A) / LEICESTER (H) / WBA (A)
Final Game:- WBA (A)

SAINTS:- Top 6 Games:- ARSENAL (A) / CHELSEA (H) / Man City (H)
6 Pointers:- W"HAM (A) / SWANSEA (A)
(28) Flip Flops:- LEICESTER (A) / B"MUFF (H) / EVERTON (A)
Final Game:- MAN CITY (H)

WEST HAM:- Top 6 Games:- CHELSEA (A) / ARSENAL (A) / MAN CITY (H) / MAN UTD (H)
6 Pointers:- SAINTS (H) / STOKE (H)
(30) Flip Flops:- LEICESTER (A) / EVERTON (H)
Last Game:- EVERTON (H)

SWANSEA:- Top 6 Games:- MAN UTD (A) / MAN CITY (A) / CHELSEA (H)
6 Pointers:- SAINTS (H) / STOKE (H)
(31) Flip Flops:- B'MUFF (A) / EVERTON (H) / WBA (A)
Last Game:- STOKE (H)

HUDDERSFIELD:- Top 6 Games:- CHELSEA (A) / MAN CITY (A) / ARSENAL (H)
6 Pointers:- PALACE (H) / NEWCASTLE (A)
(31) Flip Flops:- BRIGHTON (A) / WATFORD (H) / EVERTON (H)
Last Game:- ARSENAL (H)

NEWCASTLE:- Top 6 Games:- ARSENAL (H) / CHELSEA (H) / SPURS (A)
6 Pointers:- H'FIELD (A)
(32) Flip Flops:- LEICESTER (A) / EVERTON (A) / WATFORD (A) / WBA (H)
Last Game: CHELSEA (H)

Looking at this I think we will escape, JUST. Think Stoke will be one, and possibly West Ham because of their Toxic atmosphere at home games??
Loads of nail biting to do, but now MP2 has gone, I have a renewed sense of hope, but it will be close. COYS

Shows you why the West Ham game is so critical. If we can beat them, they will struggle with the hardest run of games.

Really its down to us. if we beat Swansea and West ham then we have the easiest run in other than Palace looking at that.

Everton must have an easy run in as everyone but Palace play them.

Current table positions of Everton's remaining matches: 18th, 1st, 4th, 14th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 16th. More cupcakes than a televised bakeoff.

Did the predicter todat...That's my latest outcome...Did it again it would probably be very different!

So Arsenal play CSKA either side of our game with them. Annoying that the first leg is at home as there would be no chance of tiredness after a long flight back from Russia, and after the first leg they could've put the tie to bed pretty much so might not be as inclined to rest players.

Just a positive thought for this weekend.
Saints are Wigan bound for their FA Cup tie...... but could they {come time for the kick-off} find themselves STILL IN SEVENTEENTH PLACE with, effectively, a game in hand?
No wins for the three teams occupying the bottom places

Bournemouth v West Brom ........ 2-0
Huddersfield v Crystal Palace .... 1-1
Stoke v Everton ............................1-1

Yep that is the dream scenario. Could be a bit of a mental challenge playing catch up on games and being in the bottom 3, especially if we beat Wigan as that will be another weekend of PL games we miss

Well I would just prefer it if all the teams below us lost :) even tho Crystal Palace have an easier run in.

I do wonder if we end up with games in hand and then drop in top the relegation zone. It will put more pressure on the players :/

Bookies Watch ! - interesting, now the bookies have us as third favourite for the drop. We were fourth at the beginning of the week.
