Bookies Watch ! - interesting, now the bookies have us as third favourite for the drop. We were fourth at the beginning of the week.
WBA and Stoke are odds on, whereas there is very little difference between us, Palace and West Ham.....which is probably pretty close to reality. However, bugger reality, we are going to be OK :)

They’ve bloody moved Arsenal away to Sunday from Monday. I’d already bought train tickets. Any idea if the club would reimburse? I doubt it.....

It’s not the club’s fault. Try the train company. Unless you mean the match ticket - then you could ask.

Well apparently the fixture was moved to the Sunday following agreement between Arsenal and Saints. So they obviously gave it the go ahead.

I’m not blaming Saints, I just think for it to be moved to a Monday (for TV) fans like me thought it was penned in for that date and then it again is moved back (still on TV).

Ask the club. You’ve nothing to lose.

Can you not go Sunday?

It was always going to move if Arsenal progressed in the EL. You never see a team playing on the Monday night of a week that they play in Europe.

(Really, when it was originally moved to Monday, it should have come with a caveat that it was subject to Arsenal being knocked out of the EL first. Because it was.)

That's a huge game for Stoke.

Indeed. West Ham blew what should have been a home banker last weekend. Fingers crossed Stoke do the same. At this stage, a home game against a mid table size is the dream.

It's even bigger when you consider that Stoke immediately follow it with Arsenal away and Spurs at home.

yes I was putting a positive spin on it!
west ham game is a long wait tho

It is. Shame in a way. It allows the Burnley memories to fade. But then it also gives Sparky lots of time to prepare. Also for travelling fans there is time to order body armour. I have a feeling that this visit could make a visit to Millwall feel like the Teddy Bear's Picnic.

So Arsenal play CSKA either side of our game with them. Annoying that the first leg is at home as there would be no chance of tiredness after a long flight back from Russia, and after the first leg they could've put the tie to bed pretty much so might not be as inclined to rest players.

Little chance of their entire squad coming down with plutonium poisoning either <ok>

Mmm, not quite convinced with that argument.
Effectively, Saints now HAVE to win their 'game in hand' to move back out of the relegation places. Whereas the draw (or worse for Palace) would have ensured them a better posiion going into the Wet Spam game.
But hey, yesterday's snowy adventure led to a terrific result....... and the semi-final draw against Chelsea wasn't too bad either! One off against the Blues could be doable; but getting something from WH is vital

That Cup and new manager has defo given the club a massive lift.
But yes West Ham is such a huge game

Nice to see that Charlie is back on the training pitch.... and full of smiles. Could he make the bench for the game at Wet Spam?

Odds for relegation (William Hill)
West Brom 1/100
Stoke 1/3
Huddersfield 6/4
Southampton 2/1
West Ham 9/4
Swansea 4/1
Palace 11/2
Newcastle 14/1
Brighton 16/1
Bournemouth 20/1
Watford 66/1

Sheesh, the south coast is definitely not ours this season <doh>
