The men’s Olympic football match between Argentina and Morocco ended in utter chaos after the game was suspended for almost two hours, during which a crucial equalising goal was ruled out by VAR.

Staff at the five-star hotel being used by the IOC during the Olympic Games went on strike on Thursday morning, claiming they have not received a pay rise in seven years.

They haven't even had the opening ceremony yet and it's all been bad news.

Strikes, Smoking, *****s, pulling out, whining when things don't go their way and bizarre, cruel and unnatural practices involving animals.

You can tell the Olympics are taking place in France, can't you?

Hehe, are you even British if you can't watch and enjoy the French **** it up and look incompetent in front of a world audience?

And it continues...

Hours before the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics, French rail company SNCF says its high-speed network has been targeted by "malicious acts" aimed at paralysing the system.

Several high-speed TGV lines have been hit to the west, north and east of Paris and queues have formed at Gare Montparnasse station in Paris.

Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete has strongly condemned "criminal acts" that he said would affect people's holiday plans.

A number of trains have been cancelled and SNCF has warned that the situation could last "at least all weekend while repairs are conducted".

Sports Minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra described the attacks as "downright appalling", adding that the impact on the public and Olympic athletes was currently being assessed.

SNCF said fires had been set alight aimed at damaging its facilities.

They'll be saying it's Britains fault next for all the training during the Second World War.

it’s all regional politics. How many Scottish or Welsh players would make the squad.

It's nothing to do with how many players from each country would make the team, it's the fear that a GB team in the Olympics would weaken the case for the four individual nations in other major football competitions.

It is because they are frightened if we send a GB team to the Olympics there will be calls from FIFA for just FA representing the whole country instead of 4. There was a team when Welsh, and Scottish players would have made up a good part of any Olympics squad.
