The first scandal is allowing a Dutch bloke who was jailed for raping a 12 year old girl when he was 19 to compete.
Think I read he'd been given accommodation away from the olympic village. Don't think he'll last long somehow.
His name's Steven Van der Velde and though he was convicted here, he was sent back to the Netherlands to serve his sentence.

A bit different to the treatment of a footballer who didn’t have sex with a 15 year old. The Dutch justice system can make ours seem extremely harsh.
The Japanese sent of their gymnasts home for smoking a cigarette. She's 19 and the legal age for smoking in Japan is 20.
