Sat here desperate to see some live Rio action after coming in late this evening and just catching some cycling. So have plumped for Water Polo - Greece v Brazil. Makes me feel like Jonathan Archer.
The Indian pair are established and are very, very good. I'd have been more surprised if Andy and Heather had won, to be honest.
Oi.. Get packing up the car. Sarnies.... Check Snacks..... Check Drink..... Check Map..... Check Match day music..... Check Fats' number ..... Check Don't forget to go before you leave!! See you later. Come on you Saints!
Jessica Ennis-Hill leading heptathlon after 4 events after coming second in 200 m and doing reasonably in shot put. Katharina Johnson-Thompson dropped to 4th after coming in ahead of Jessica in the 200 m, but coming last in her group in the shot put (her worst event).
Oh bless, Steve Backshall losing it on the telly after his fiancée Helen Glover won Gold in the rowing.
BBC just commented on the poor crowds. I was surprised at how bad the attendance was for the track events.
Helen said she had nothing planned for the coming months....her rowing partner had to remind her she had a wedding to plan
Apparently tickets have been given away to poor people, but they haven't come anyway. Early stages including the heptathlon are usually poorly attended....I remember at 2012, everyone remarked on the unusually large crowds for every event. The British always turn up for a party and the rest of Europe is right on our doorstep, whereas the Brazilians haven't embraced it because there are so many social problems in Rio. Crowds have picked up for some events....apparently tourists are loving the fact they can just walk up and get a ticket.
Trying to watch Olympic golf....why do idiots shout 'In the hole.' Someone should shove a golf club where the sun don't shine.
If a single person couldn't contain himself and called out, it would be funny.....never to be repeated. Now years later, people are still doing it....not funny and not clever.
Wow, what a match between Rafa and Del Potro.....Murray's got a serious match on his hands to beat the Argie for Gold tomorrow.
Silver for Becky James in Keiron....another couple of feet in the race and she'd have won that. Terrific acceleration.
