Anyone know what the ticket sales have been like?
I would expect most of the tickets to be sold on the day.
Anyone know what the ticket sales have been like?
That's pretty ****ty considering the service he's received that we can't even sell many tickets.
Maybe slightly different in terms of stature but Gerrard's was a sell out at Anfield and pretty sure Ferdinand will get a 60k attendance on Friday.
Agreed Newark, it's ****. I hope the matchday sales are good. I can't see why people wouldn't come to this when all these great players from the past are playing.
In fact, we got 23,000 when we played Liverpool in a meaningless friendly. It's pathetic that people will go to a more expensive friendly just to see 'the big names' but won't turn out for Andy and all the other legends.
How's his relationship with the club now? Would he play if he was offered? (While in the country obviously).
And I'm on holiday, so I'm missing this and the Chelsea game, I'm never letting the missus arrange the holiday again
No doubt you'll be supping champagne and eating quail eggs at the top of the Burj Al Arab
Putting FACT after a sentence makes you look like a right tool
If there's no more than 15k at the testimonial, the HDM should print something like "disappointing" as a back page story, really shame those City fans who could've gone but didn't. A lot of the the more recent fans should have no excuse for missing this, as Daws would've been a mainstay in their team for some time. Mind you, I went to Deano's against Aberdeen and there was nobody there either. This just a season after he fired us into the PL for the first time. We lost, but it was something special to say I saw Deano in a City shirt one last time (now I'll have to say it again!).
I remember at the time his (Dawson's) signing felt oddly great, as though he was a catalyst for bigger things to come. Turned out my hunch was right!
I hate champagne, but I will be eating piri-piri checken and drinking Sagres.
Mr I hate Nando's is having peri-peri chicken! Get to ****.
