I'm not sure that a back five has worked at all, let alone against Hull..... For different reasons, firstly, it hasn't stopped us from letting in goals and therefore must only be being utilised to limit the amount of goals we let in to a 'respectable' number and secondly, it limits our options up front therefore hampering our chances of scoring. The only reason Vardy keeps a place in the team is because of his speed which is vital when playing this formation as our only chance of scoring is on the break, unfortunately Vardy isn't good enough to hang all our hopes on in this league.
Our two record signings either can't get/stay on the pitch or can't get the service they need to score because Albrighton who was obviously brought in to provide that service either can't get on the pitch because he doesnt fit the formation or he just can't do the job required. Schlupp is undoubtedly quick but very little to offer as an end product not to mention that he still doesn't know if he's a defender or a striker but falls short of what we need on both counts.
On top of all that, I have never seen a team stand off the opposition so much and so consistently, it's like they are waiting for the other team to make a mistake and give us the ball, our possession stats are appalling!
The whole set up is very negative and unlikely to secure us the points we would need to stay up.
In short, I'd like to see a 4-4-2 with Ulloa, Kramaric, Nuge and Albrighton on the pitch and harassing, harrying and closing down Spurs whenever they have the ball, which will probably be for around 75% of the match and making Harry Kane at least break sweat for his hat trick. Lose? Quite probably, but I think it's high time we stopped worrying about losing or how many we lose by and started giving ourselves a opportunity to win!
