He will obviously get more exposure now what with having made that step up to a bigger club ;). However to call him the ginger Pirlo is like calling me Isambard Kingdom Brunel!

I'd settle for the Ginger Pirlo at this rate mate! <laugh>

I hope LVG knows what he's doing, biding his time killed Moyes.

LVG is off his rocker mate, honestly think he has a screw loose, could be sacked after 5 games

He's started off crap in every previous position, I'd give him this season as a write off, wouldn't care about where we finished as long as there was steady improvement and a long term plan in place.

He needs top 4 really to attract the top players to the club, but we have to be realistic with the current squad.

I've got time for LVG, he's a top manager, Moyes was a ****nugget who'd never won a thing.

van Gaal does come across as a bit metal & egotistical though, no question there, I'm sure there'll be a few clashes.

His statements after one game were baffling, talk about shooting your players confidence down, I was really surprised at that.

You can't help but note he never stays anywhere long term.

He's been signed as first choice, despite all the protestations from over there.

Pardew will stick him in nets in their next game, then blame him for the 7-0 hammering.

If Ashley had any sense he'd make Pardew work in the bogs in the local Sports Direct, to pay off that gambling debt.

Best sack him then!

LVG has a right to say a defeat to Swansea is demoralising, especially considering we dominated the game. He's completely different, I agree, he's not here to entertain like Mourinho or clown around like Holloway. There's a mess and he's here to clean it up and sort it out. I'm not gonna start judging him after a single competitive game mate.

Must be a slight worry though mate ....... he seems to have become a bit of a caricature of himself.

When people start acting up to their own stereotype it usually ends badly.

Mind you, he's not shy is he?

I never said anything about judging him mate, just pointed out that hes a bit mental!

His track record can't be argued, I just thought to come out and say 'confidence is shattered' after one game was a bit strange, first game of the season, against a team with some very talented player, playing at their peak for a big away day, I don't think it was a massive deal.

A setback, yeah, but there's gonna be a period of adjustment, during that time surely Louis would do well to nurture the players confidence.

He's not managed more than 2 years at a big club though, time will tell if he's a good fit for United.

He is what he is, I don't think anybody thought he was gonna come in and stroke players egos. He's not that man, but to be honest, nobody knows what he's gonna fetch to the table at United. If soem fans are expecting him to challenge for the PL title then that's their problem, they're just living in a fantasy world.

I don't think one defeat to Swansea will be a reflection on his ability, especially with the players he has to work with, particularly defenders.

A lot of you boys were commenting on how refreshing it was to hear Di Canio stick your players through the mangle in post match interviews, maybe some of United's players could do with that treatment?

I'm not worried at all, to answer your question... my only worries are with Ed Woodward and his inability to get deals done quickly.

I'd agree with most of that, apart from the fact that I'd be a massive hypocrite if I said something he said in post-match interviews will affect the players. I rallied that Gus Poyet's "Miracle" speech was not the reason for the 'miracle', I don't believe it was.

If he continues to do it like Di Canio I'll be a bit worried but I also think it had a bit to do with translation, I think he wanted to describe it as just an anti-climax after whipping half of Europe pre-season we then lose to Swansea, it's just a s**tter!
