Hume mentioned he was a Chelsea fan in the most recent 'question of the week' video. I must admit, he did go down in my estimation a little, I mean come on, Chelsea?!

That rat bastard, get him sold.

Seriously though, who gives a ****? Haha.

We expect every lad we sign to tell us how Jeff Whitley inspired them to become a footballer like?

Mind, one of the world’s best players, Jude Bellingham is a Sunderland fan. Watches our games with a replica shirt on and everything.

Now you mention it, he probably models a lot of his game on Jeff Whitley.

I suspect he'll have as much luck denigrating KLD & KS as he did defending SD & CM ...

... this club has been totally transformed, anyone who doesn't accept that is really missing out on a wonderful time.
I just don’t get the negativity Smug. We have been through some bad times over the years with this club but this should be a time for positivity. It appears to me that some folk just look for anything they can whinge about.

In my opinion the football we are playing is streets ahead of anything I have watched since Peter Reid. The owner and his management team know exactly what they are doing and consistently demonstrate that on the football side, and I am confident they will get it right commercially, because it’s integral to the model and the requirements of FFP.

We have a team full of players who in a few years time we could be wondering how the hell they played for us. I reckon some of them will reach the very top echelon of footballers.

As they say football is a funny old game but surely it’s better to enjoy the ups because there’s plenty downs ready to hit you, without going looking for them.

Rollheiser eh, don't think that name came up once but it seems likely we'll be going back in for him.

I have to say I agree that if we fail to get the target we want, and wait until we can get them, rather than move onto a player we don't rate as much makes sense. We're building and promotion isn't urgent. If it was I expect we'd act differently.

He was being linked with £12million moves earlier in the summer so we know the Stewart money is there to be used.

Good to hear we have some cash to spend if needed, but it wouldn't be a disaster if we did no business in Jan (that would actually make a nice change) given the apparent strength of the squad

Still feel we are short in cm. Neil and Ekwah are so important for us there. I'm sure in time Bellingham will be coached into that role

Agree, but if Evans and Matete come back, stay fit and are genuine options then we may not need to do business

Unlikely of course, there are always deals to be done but I'd love not to be refreshing this website every 30 secs on Deadline Day for once

Yep,it's the one area we're slightly weak in,given the injuries. If,say, Neil got suspended and Ekwah picked up an injury, we'd be doing some serious adjusting.
I think Evans is out till Xmas....not sure about Matete?

Like the look of this lad, definite upgrade on Michut imo.

He was in the u19s at the same time as Michut.

Simons, Michut and Kalimuendo were the 3 stand out players who were tipped to go all the way. Be interesting to see this lad play, he has a lot of experience already but his figures aren’t great. St Etienne were piss poor the time he was there tho.
