It's amazing how positive you were a short time ago but you seem to be falling into a negative spin during this transfer window. A lot of contracts get sorted after the window as clubs need to see what they have spent what deals are available and what the balance sheet looks like. my gut feeling is that Roberts will be one of our top earners so his contract will be sorted once the window closes.

As an actual human being, I have authentic actual opinions rather than positioning myself as "negative" or "positive" like it seems most of the internet want to badge people.

I can be very happy with one thing and very disappointed in another without it changing my views or being hypocritical. There's not a right answer.

And on contracts - I think we have a way to go to get these right and players tied down.

I understand that but was making a general comment as you tended to generally be more positive or should I say more balanced in your views. you would weigh things up and discuss generally stating that rumour was just that and then give a balanced well thought out opinion. Patrick Roberts as an example has tended to use his brother to put messages out. His brother has stated on more than 1 occasion that he is happy and spoke on a podcast a few weeks back talking about how he expected the club to be negotiating contracts after the window and that Patrick was relaxed about the situation. My comment was about positivity but is really based on opinions. Some reporters of dubious reliability mention that Southampton want PR as well as RS and all of a sudden the club have caused this.
My opinion is if he goes he goes but I would not of being rushing to give him a new contract straight away given he is 1 of our top earners and will likely be our top earner when and if his new contract is signed. Clarke is also meant to be discussing his contract after the window and he still has 3 year on his which leads me to believe that the club are looking to incrementally reward good performers wether they have 3 years or 1 year on their contracts (Ballard, Cirkin).

Was not having a dig just making an observation
