Not that I’m writing Jobe off here because the boy looks like a real talent but does anyone know of a decent 10 that’s 6’3 and growing?

Not sure he’ll replace Amad, his attributes just aren’t that of a 10 I think he’ll be much better suited in the middle of the park as a mezzala or moulded into a DM.
Funnily enough this is something i was thinking about the other day, only one currently I can think of is Havertz.

Thats fair. A lot of my anger is to do with selling Mumba, Hugill, Greenwood and more just to keep the lights on. Tried to force Dan Neil out as well for a few quid. Them players should be the heartbeat of our team, but instead they were sold for pittance
My feelings exactly Patch. How long before they sold the ground and entire club? A bit far fetched? It happened to South Shields - twice!

You really have a problem with him Bob, why not explain.
He did a job on his mate Donald duck, who thinks he's a super business man.
KLD wanted to buy the whole club for a certain price of what the club was worth, Donald wanted the price of what he thought it would be.
So KLD bought the minimum amount of shares he need to have control with JS and agreed a price for the remaining shares, this was were the comments about it not being a takeover and just a readjustment of shares. So at the time Bob was kind of right when everyone was calling him, me included so I do apologise for that.
Lots of people complained when the first share % were first published however this is were KLD and especially his team showed their Substance.
They knew by leaving Donald with a larger stake in a club that was losing money he would have to continue funding his %
Then when it can to taking the rest of the shares off him they now dictated the price and Donald could do nothing about it.
I would love to know how much he had to put in while still a share holder and take that off what he received for his shares , I'd like to bet the balance is lower than what KLD offered him in the first place.
But apparently this is a young lad that knows Jack **** about running a football club

They're disagreeing with him, not being personal or insulting.

Bob regularly slips in digs about KLD without any justification ...

... if he has a problem he should either explain or stfu in my opinion.

This is a transfer thread but he's chosen to bring 'KLD pocketing club money' into it. Is it surprising people are annoyed?
Fair enough, Bob may enlighten us

We have an 18yo with a handful of games in French 3rd Division and a 20yo who currently looks miles off being fit enough to lead the line in the championship - I think it's a massive ask to expect them to make an impact this season.

Not saying they can't or won't come good, but surely they would be 3rd and 4th choice at a club like ours behind 2 experienced strikers where they can learn about the division and the English game without the pressure to perform.

The fact Hemir started the 1st game of the season and has barely been seen since tells a tale....
I get your point but sometimes needs must, you only have to look at Ekwah who to be fair has looked good this season but was only used because we had to use him. I understand what everybody wants but we may have to get these kids up to speed a bit quicker and just play them. You can not become experienced without playing games so for me I hope we can bring somebody in but if not we utilize the resources we have but don't try and judge them after 1 game they will need time which I think is what TM is trying to do with Hemir. My gut feeling is we may end up with another loan striker if RS does go but if we end up short again then we use what we have the best we can and hopefully after a few games we will see what kind of potential we have bought with both of these young lads. Bearing in mind these are contracted to us and not loans so the more we can get them developed the better for us

One of Short's biggest mistakes - if not the biggest - was losing Peter Walker and not replacing him. He was an excellent CEO and for Short to replace him with that Irish sounding Lawyer, who's name I will not speak.......was a ****ing joke

If you could prosecute someone for gross negligence, she would be a prime candidate. A terrible appointment.

Agreed, he has invested - as ive mentioned several times - in the right areas

Short invested but was clueless

Donald n methven were shocking owners who just asset stripped the club

Anyway... heres hoping for a busy couple of days
Like you say, investing in our future and the things that have been wrong with the club for years but some fans only want money spent on players otherwise we are skint

It’s a genuine question, I’m not knocking the lad at all I just can’t think of anyone the size of him who plays that role.. smaller players have a lower centre of gravity making it easier to dribble, turn on the spot, get through defenders in tight spaces which is perfect for a 10. Just like a smaller player would struggle to get up and down the pitch and themselves about as easily as a player of Jobes stature.

Yaya Toures best ever season for City was playing basically as a 10

Got something daft like 20 goals. About 2013

I did think of him but he wasn’t really a 10, City used to play a simple 4-4-2 back then with Yaya and Fernandinho together in the middle which was perfect for him to get up and down the pitch. Kind of how I see Jobe being best utilised

Aye I agree on both parts. YaYa was never a pure 10, and also agree on best use of Jobe.

All subject to change of course as he’s so young.
