He’s featured in every Bournemouth game so far this season. Would he be available? I’d love him mind. Always rated him, especially at championship level.

Think I saw something last week that Bournemouth were considering loaning him out. They are after Daka from Leicester.

Perfect storm

Quality player at cut price deal due to injury
Not signing new deal at the moment

Low risk massive reward.

Yeah to most it’s high risk, to someone like Southampton with the parachute payments not so much.

Just hope we get a decent fee but I doubt it.

Why the doubt? Surely it anyone in our league can afford to take risk on a player it's Southampton so I would expect the club to negotiate a fair price and that's all we can hope for. Given their record to date I don't see the current management being anything but prudent in negotiations.

I’d agree but surely questions have to be asked - why won’t he sign?
He's 27 had a couple of injuries. maybe he looks on this as his only chance to get a lucrative move.
Loyalty is one thing but in the end he has to look after himself financially.
If someone like Southampton comes in for him then they can offer way more than what we can.
We should expect a big fee but we couldn't compete with what they could offer him.
They have just came down from the Prem. We have just came up from League one.
Earned over £100m last season raked in £150m in transfers so far and have £45m in parachute payments on the way.
Unfortunately financially we are miles apart.

Because we won't be held to ransom ...... we cannot compete with parachute payments
That’s true. Another reason why I don’t expect us to be anywhere near promotion this season. We are miles away. It’s just the way it is.

Luton were miles away last season ...

... team spirit and determination put them higher than clubs that had spent more.

Norwich and Watford had the parachute payments and failed.

Southampton could be buying a player they can't do a medical on ...

... they look like a badly run club tbh.

We reached the play offs without Ballard, Stewart, Batth, Cirkin and Alese meaning we lost all of our height against a team that plays football at altitude. Those players may now all be available which is half a team ...

... I'd say it's quite difficult to say where we'll finish until we know what team we'll have and who we sign, Amad might even return.

I think it’s unrealistic to think our squad will ever be able to make step changes in improvement without sales.

It’s why timing of injury to Stewart ****ed us. Should have been getting £15-20m for him at the start of the window. Not £3-5m at the end of it. (Made figures up)
