If you could guarantee Cannon as his replacement I’d sell I think. He’s going to go either way, get more coin now than in Jan. Cannon, Rusyn, Hemir and Mayenda gives us plenty options. One who’s performed well at this level last year, one who’s got plenty experience in their home country and European competition plus two young promising players.

Don’t think there’s owt new in Fishpaste’s article like
There’s not, it’s click baited to hell. He has form for **** stirring.
‘Upthere’ on RTG who usually knows stuff from time to time reckons there’s not a chance Stewart is here next week
He gets a lot wrong too

he said Clarke wouldn’t play another game for us before the season started.

Hmmmm.

Everton get their striker, so Canon free to leave. Palace only left in race for Che Adams. Southampton desperate for striker now so play ball on a fee we find acceptable. We use the fee to buy Canon on a perm. Like a little domino rally.

A lot of pieces will fall in place in the next few days, it’s always the same.

Goes to show how tough it is to sign strikers at the minute if a club is willing to risk signing an injured player, especially after the type of injury he had.

Perfect storm

Quality player at cut price deal due to injury
Not signing new deal at the moment

Low risk massive reward.

could be right. All hinges on whether Adams leaves Southampton
and his middle name is Everton.

Cant see Everton having the money after the Beto signing? Palace probably have a free run at him now I would think. Also sounds a bit like Preston are less confident on Canon. Time will tell, all guesswork.

It’s high risk surely as even at the cut price deal you don’t know that the quality player is still (as good a) quality after his injury?

If you could guarantee that then the selling club wouldn’t be cutting the price based on his injury.

Nah it's low risk I think due to the fee. A few million or so is absolutely nowt these days especially to a club with parachute payments available.

Contract situation pivotal too.

Just have to hope we have contingencies in place hate to see us holding the Stewart cash but no replacement when the window closes

I'd be inclined to go for someone like Kieffer Moore on loan if Stewart goes.

Knows the league, similar type of threat to defenders, the younger lads could learn from him, and we have time to find a long term replacement.

He’s featured in every Bournemouth game so far this season. Would he be available? I’d love him mind. Always rated him, especially at championship level.

It's crazy - you see how much money Man Utd and Chelsea have spent on kids with a handful of career goals
