Pretty sure hes also sick of the same questions over n over againTone? Yeah because he is trying to not be too open about the situation. Sometimes it slips. But it comes across as all over the place.

I'm away for work next week, by sheer coincidence I'm coming home Thursday rather than staying till Friday.Just seen the deadline closes Friday rather than Thursday and I’m livid. Another day ffs. And no deadline day signings able to play at weekend
Yeah. He will be. Especially as he doesn't have a say. That's always the issue with experienced managers with such a model. Must keep them awake at night.
pleased we didn't pay £8m for him. Said last season he was too limited and it's showing this season too.Simms getting a lot of criticism from Coventry fans writing him off.
To be fair mate it has been a model for experienced coaches all over Europe for years and years. I really dont think it is something to call out. The difference really is that he is 1 voice in a group deciding in who to sign. Sometimes, like with Dack, his opinion is most relevant, other times, like with Jobe, others are more relevant. He has enough influence to ensure the players coming in he can work with in his squad. I think too much is made of how managers used to buy and sell, when in reality they were not all powerful most of the time. Scouts up and down the land would bring players back to managers and coaches for review. Not a massive difference really, more focussed on age groups perhaps, but even that is a bit overplayed in our model.Yeah. He will be. Especially as he doesn't have a say. Was poor today.Simms getting a lot of criticism from Coventry fans writing him off.
Simms as here suffers from not being the same as the striker he was replacing. Was poor today.
Been poor all season.
Said as soon as they signed him, that he’s a very poor choice to be Gyokeres’ replacement. Not the same workhorse type striker at all.
He is a decent striker, yes. But if they’re looking for someone to replace Gyokeres in their system - he is one of the strangest choices.Simms as here suffers from not being the same as the striker he was replacing.
Hes a decent striker with potential to improve
He is indeed and will be passed off as ****e as he doesn't do what Gyokeres didHe is a decent striker, yes. But if they’re looking for someone to replace Gyokeres in their system - he is one of the strangest choices.
He’s a good finisher in the box, but won’t press the defence or run the channels?
It’s not just the £8 million, it’s the big wages we’d have committed as well.pleased we didn't pay £8m for him. Said last season he was too limited and it's showing this season too.
I was never his biggest fan for us. Good finisher and a cracking strike on him. Just never seemed to put the graft in a modern number 9 needs to. The days of being a finisher only are gone I think. Still a bairn mind, and could improve, but that fee paid is hugely inflated I think. He is a decent striker, yes. Judging by Simms and his price he is spot on I think. Ours will be an overseas player, whose natural instinct is all round centre forward play I think. We have enough lads who can finish so long as we have a smart forward who gets in behind and pulls defenders around.Sunderland manager Tony Mowbray told BBC Radio Newcastle:
"I'd probably have been pleased with a point and a clean sheet beforehand but the game panned out a little bit different than I thought.
"I thought we'd come and dominate possession like we did last year but they were good first half with the ball, picked us off and pushed us back.
"We readjusted a few things and I thought we were better second half. We got in some good positions but the final ball wasn't there.
"We're always disappointed when we don't score. We don't have a killer number nine and I'm not sure we will by the end of the window - they are not falling off trees are they?"
Wouldn't know mate, never heard of Haji Wright.Haji Wright is more a Gyokeres replacement. Certainly more than Simms is.
