Local press hate us don't they?

I dread to think what the next few days are going to be like on social media

If they don't get this striker sorted by Monday I'll start to worry. Because it will fall through then and god knows where next.

When you think of the crap the club got hiring DiCanio from the press, but not a peep when Mag owners are executing citizens who dare send a critical tweet. Shameless sportwashers
You have to assume they are desperate to keep in with them in fear of missing out IF they win something.

Absolute joke they way they actively print negatives about us

Can’t believe he’s ran with that headline, he never said that at all. Proper prick James Hunter. Just because he gets no exclusives and is a sorry excuse for a journalist he decides to clickbait. ****.
Everyone is going to melt down by that shameful piece from James Hunter. Terrible clickbait.

Tone has said he is not really involved in it all again and someone could be there tomorrow to shake his hand. Let's see.

It's the Chronicle, lads, the newspaper of John Gibson and I Anal Lover (Alan Oliver, for those who didn't get his anagram nick name). The only way they'd ever report something positive about us is if someone held a gun to their heads and threatened to taser them. And even then it would be back handed.

Hunter has done his job with that, it's riled our fans, got clicks and by a couple of responses to that tweet helped get some of our more volatile slagging off the owners. Back in the day they'd normally put something like this out to distract from something negative about their magpie paymasters and make mags feel good about themselves.

Edit... Sorry, responses to two different bits at the same time, editted out now to make sense

The quote from Mowbray is taken massively out of context. He’s saying there aren’t many strikers about and he’s not in charge of recruitment so he can’t guarantee we will get one. Which was in response to him being asked what happened to the striker he said would come.

He’s way too honest because what he sees as throwaway comments are jumped on and reported as news.

Honestly Hunter has pissed me off but Mowbray has as well. He really needs to stop giving his “honest grandpa” answers to questions about transfers and instead just consistently say that the recuitment team are working hard. Instead he goes off on tangents and will say somebody is close and we might not sign anybody all in the same bloody interview and people then focus on what they want to hear.

I love Tony and I think he’s great. But he’s creating tension he doesn’t need to.
I think that is unfair on Mowbray mate. The honest grandpa bit is very harsh for me.

In my opinion he is as honest as the day is long and just a straight talking bloke. I doubt his personality allows for deflection. He has probably ignored most PR training because he doesnt want it. We have a fella who is, by all accounts, one of the best communicators with players there is. I dont want him to be giving straight bat answers, because I would know he is not being himself. Maybe easier for me to say as I dont give a rats arse what the media says. I can read the article l, listen to the interviews and draw my own conclusions. I dont want him changing to stop those on twitter getting a bit upset.

i agree but said that last window as well :D
As did I mate and to learn from someone that hears things that deadline day we where waiting on Everton and had no plan b was a kick in the nuts.

This time I have no itk people so I have to assume and believe we have learned lessons and it will be good

It's worthy of a report to be honest. Doesn't get much worse. Must be pushing for clicks the chronicle. Disgrace.

I am surprised Tone has come out and basically said he has no idea or input on transfers. Never a good look.
Can’t help but think there’s a chance he may walk after the window ends. Don’t think he’s disrespectful enough to do an Alex Neil like

His interviews are all over the place. I'm pretty sure he's got a split personality.

Tone? Yeah because he is trying to not be too open about the situation. Sometimes it slips. But it comes across as all over the place.
