I believe prehab and bob that money and getting his wages off books is the driving factor behind us being willing to give him away, but the only people who will know for sure if Batth has a personal issue is Batth himself. Anyone else is speculating. Even people at the “top table”. That’s kinda how personal issues work.

It could easily be a combo of them telling him he won’t be renewed and then him saying he’d like to go now because the personal issues he was experiencing are not worth experiencing if he doesn’t have a future here (for example)

Exactly how it unfolded. How I was told anyway.

It may not be right but I have no reason to doubt it.

So you know for sure they won't after 1 league game?
Well, one of them is a winger, is injured and has already been dismissed by the Head Coach as being "months away from being ready"
The other has played a grand total of 1 game in senior football. There is every chance he will come good, but the signs aren't encouraging.
Do you think Hemir and Mayenda are enough to get us promoted? Or do you think Mowbray is right that we need to sign more strikers?

You were if you think the 2 kids we've signed are going to get us promoted
Did you think a lad with a poor goal scoring record in scotland would get us promoted from league one? Or did you think a lad who had terrible loan spells at QPR and Stoke would be now worth £15mill+ to us? They may be class, they may be **** but its way to early to make sweeping statements like that

I certainly think we need another forward or two mate. When I replied to the other poster it was to point out we had actually signed 2 forwards. We can debate how effective they will be

It took me one game to know Stewart was good. Same with Clarke.
Can't say the same about Hemir and whilst he very well might come good, he's a player for next season or the one after. We need to look after the here and now and we need a proven goalscorer.
If Stewart gets fit, stays fit and stays at the club, then Hemir becomes an option off teh bench and could well be a great signing. As it stands, throwing this kid out to the Wolves every week and asking him to lead the line is naïve at best and foolish at worst.

We can't stand by the "we signed 2 strikers" line when neither of them are going to score enough goals this season to affect our promotion chances

One game isn't enough time to judge a player either way imo

The family story is just that. it is money again. or so i was told.
He’s been here 18 month he couldn’t drive when he came here and he can’t drive now. He was that miserable he won player of the year and player’s player of the year and now he’s been told he’s to old to have his contract extended is he 30, god he’s bloody ancient. Now he’s playing s hit, trying to think why?

Maybe, but the facts are there that hanging our hat on inexperienced strikers isn't the way forward. Didn't we learn our lesson last season with Gelhardt? Feels like we are doing the same with Hemir by chucking this lad out the door and asking him to lead the line

Stewart was inexperienced when he joined
