I believe prehab and bob that money and getting his wages off books is the driving factor behind us being willing to give him away, but the only people who will know for sure if Batth has a personal issue is Batth himself. Anyone else is speculating. Even people at the “top table”. That’s kinda how personal issues work.

It could easily be a combo of them telling him he won’t be renewed and then him saying he’d like to go now because the personal issues he was experiencing are not worth experiencing if he doesn’t have a future here (for example)
Not having guaranteed future income is a family issue

Well, one of them is a winger, is injured and has already been dismissed by the Head Coach as being "months away from being ready"
The other has played a grand total of 1 game in senior football. There is every chance he will come good, but the signs aren't encouraging.
Do you think Hemir and Mayenda are enough to get us promoted? Or do you think Mowbray is right that we need to sign more strikers?
Just a minor point but hemir played in the equivalent of the championship in Portugal and played over 20 times for them.

Stewart - 103 appearances in senior football before joining us

Hemir - 0 appearances in senior football before joining us
Mayenda - 15 appearances in senior football before joining us

People are getting really mixed up with inexperience. Our best players , bought on a lower price have had lots of games, especially in the UK. Ballard, Clarke etc. Perfect example. Much easier for them to get it rather than some 19 year old with 5 games in a farmer's league.

Stewart hadn't played at championship or league one level. He played lower league in Scotland.

Experience doesn't always mean goals, Simms has championship experience, would you have signed him?

Experience is experience. It's understanding where to run, where to stand, how to find space and how to lose your man.
On Tuesday night, Bradley Dack was coaching Bennette on where to stand and where to run. We don't have time for Hemir to learn on the job, it's that simple

He played in the SPL, didn’t he?

That is absolutely nowhere near our championship level, though.

Exactly

Doesn’t matter, he’s a professional footballer who played in a professional league, I wouldn’t know if the league is the equivalent of our championship, league one or league two, or scottish division one, but he has played at an ok level.

Added to that moving to another country with another language and culture away from the family is significant in any young adults life life, exciting but messy

Great time to go to Russia :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Not sure how it work ref the war, might go against him wanting to go there, as in he goes there & plays well, wants his big move to 1 of 4 top European leagues.....are European clubs trading with Russian clubs currently?

Could always move to Putins mates league in Saudi mind!

I would have but only as third choice because he has a lot of developing to do imho therefore there was a huge difference between what I would have payed and what Coventry did. I’d have gone around a million quid.,
Agreed he was over priced but he has championship experience.

Its great wanting it, but getting it at the correct price isn't as easy

I think the difference though is Coventry signed him as first choice number 9, I’d have signed him as third. So for that price I simple wouldn’t have wanted him. A player with a couple of seasons scoring regularly, starting weekly in a good league I wouldn’t worry so much and Simms fee may fit. I think he needs to learn some basics but has some assets.
