The player's entourage has registered some timid interest from Germany, but it is England that is being worked on, with Sunderland and Southampton looking for strikers to apply for promotion to the Premier League. Contacts also with Watford, since Udinese was in competition with Bologna for the purchase of the player in 2021 and the English club is owned by the Pozzo family. I’ve just been informed that Riggy has until the league game against Cardiff next month to score and become our youngest ever goalscorer in the league.

Players entourage? <laugh> Like wearing white boots. He better be good if he has an entourage. Mine was mam and dad when I went to Tow Law Town <laugh><laugh> and my mam was the only one in charge, even the manager asked her permission to see if I could play on a school night :emoticon-0102-bigsm

This all erupted last night after Nick Barnes was on the radio passing on some musings. It was all his own imaginings. All of a sudden we have major fallouts, people claiming nothing is rosy behind the scenes, Mowbray demanding a list of his targets be signed etc etc.

Today all I read is Mowbray being sensible, normal and motivated. I cant see any outward signs at all of a problem behind the scenes. Players look happy and committed. I am disappointed we are out of the cup. But too much has been said off the back of a journalist radio musing and it has overshadowed Chris Rigg becoming our youngest goalscorer and youngest league cup goalscorer. That in itself is cause for a single malt or two. Little bit of SAFC history last night. Times are good for us.

Please dont be a voice of reason amid the worry and at times crazy speculation. And just to remind everybody Chris Rigg scored and that is what we should be celebrating

That’s true but we could also focus on our priority two positions first and fine tune later. Let’s not forget we’re all scarred by the striker position because of failures in successive windows not just this one. People are making excuses for an ongoing failure.
 
Keep the faith lads. 557 days ago we lost 0-6 to Bolton and were staring down at another season in League One.

The "situation" we are in feels bad but if you'd offered me it then I'd have snapped your hands off.

Hell, if you'd offered me this situation 9 months ago I'd have snapped your hands off.

If you the people you are refering too making excuses on ones on here - they arent making excuses. Some are just more relaxed about the situation and want to see what we do in the nxt few weeks before having a final say on how they think our squad looks. Theres nothing wrong with that as its their opinion, like theres nothing wrong with you being unhappy that the club didnt address that position straight away.

Lets move on from it though, or start a different thread, as so many pages are going over this now. Lets keep the pages for transfer news

Cameron archer available on loan again and van hoojdonk available for 3-4m not sure if euros or pounds either way should be all over both (not sign both of course but either would be excellent)

Questions over van hoojdonks attitude but strikers should be abit arrogant and selfish for me comes with the territory

Are they not looking to sell him, rather than a loan?
