I just don't see anyone taking that gamble on him right now. Anyone signing him this window is buying an injured player who has played 13 games in the last 12 months and had 2 major injuries. He surely wouldn't pass a medical right now and who knows whether he'll be the same player

IF Sheff Utd come with a £10m bid I'd snap their hands off

I think it would be closer to £5m if it happened.

Obviously the dream scenario is he signs a new deal with a beaming smile we haven't seen in a while.

But next best scenario is a Premier League club get desperate early and sign him with enough time for us to use the money

I've never read on here anyone who has "written him off"....what I have read and mentioned myself, he is not ready yet. He proved in preseason he know where the goal is...but against much inferior opposition. He needs loaning out to league 1 or League 2...learn his trade. But the kid has talent, just not enough right now for our needs

That was pretty much my reply. The lad who sorts the transfers at Sheff Utd is a mag btw. Not that that makes a difference. Probably watches Sunderland and pretends he doesn’t.

To be fair to the kid in pre season we were putting crosses in. We hardly put any in against ipswich until we took him off

Is it true we’re letting him go for free too? Baffling if so paying up your player of the year just seems daft to me

Like you say, potentially. I don't think he has been written off yet mind (certainly not by me or people I chat too) and he will probably start at the weekend. The whole team was misfiring up front against Ipswich, from the wingers to the attaching midfielders.
