TM is a head coach not manager thus has very little say on incomings

Just before pre season he hinted to a few of us he had a list.
That was presented to the recruitment team, as a head coach or a manager who sends out a team to play HIS BRAND OF FOOTBALL, how the hell can KS or SH tell him who he has at his disposal to play footy with.

I know both KLD and KS, and personally i think they underestimate the strength of the championship for this season.
They by appointing the new marketing chap realise the whole running of the club is to big a job for SD, happy they saw that as another sign of his weakness as COO. chief operations officer. what a joke he is.

Iain your right, but for us to improve we need strength in depth, he do not have that.
We should have had the RS situation cleared up, by either selling him or give him a contract subject to his fitness level, we have done that before.
It just seems as if we are meandering in to this season half cocked.

That same lazy thought is posted before every season tbh ...

... and how do you think we can sort the Stewart situation if he won't sign or go.

We don't even have any serious bids for him.

We've strengthened significantly with the additions of Ballard, Batth, Huggins, etc and possibly Stewart, not to mention the emergence of Ekwah.

Who's going to buy an injured player???

I don’t think any team has their squad fully sorted yet, that’s the problem with the window closing when it does. We probably have players lined up, say a premier league team won’t let them go until they have their replacements in etc. in my opinion the window should open the day the season finishes and close the day before the new season starts.

I think Ross Stewart and his agent have walked themselves into a storm mind. Overall, at this point anyway, i know there’s time, I think we have added some depth, height, physicality, admittedly without much experience but I have to say at this point I’m hugely disappointed we haven’t learned our lesson about a centre forward and we kick off praying for no injury to a young inexperienced player. Isn’t that how we finished our last ? We need to get our fingers out and get real.

It's an interesting one isn't it. He knows he his head coach and not manager. He knows it's not his job to sort the players but, here is the key bit, he constantly mentions it. It definitely does irk him, no way about it. That's why he keeps bringing it up.

There is some serious work needed to be done to ensure we are competing at the top 6 end of the league, this season IMO. Expecting a 19 year old who hasn't played much senior football at all to lead the line, is a silly ask. It is essential they key this striker over the line. Asap too. No more bull, waiting till deadline day then rolling out the excuses. Comes a time when that's past and it just has to get over the line.

CDM is essential too.

It's also about replacing the people they want rid of. Could be a lot leave before window closes.

Who's going to buy an injured player???

An hour ago there was a definite list of five specific signings Mowbray wanted ...

... that's now become a hint of a list.

It's just the usual club gossip, that flies around, and definitely shouldn't be repeated or posted on forums.

I really don't like confidences being betrayed tbh ... what KLD, KS, Mowbray and others in the club are saying shouldn't be repeated by people who aren't in the club and don't hear everything that's being discussed.

It's easy to hear one snippet and build a mountain from the molehill.

The Hartlepool defeat has broken vast swathes of our fanbase it seems. Suddenly now nothing is right at the club…

I do not think it's that, I think certain points are being made and they are valid. We tried to play a second string, some of these plays are on the cusp of our first team and will be required in a tough championship campaign. To get absolutely whooped off a conference team is alarming and shows that some of these plays are not ready.

There is no doubt we need a greater level of experience and quality in the squad. Especially in striker and DM positions.

I think it’s actually the Mayenda injury and the impending realisation that the season is here and we haven’t signed every player we need. Which is every club and every season.

Everyone was optimistic early on as we had done loads of early business.

All that matters is results. Win on Sunday and everyone is happy. Lose on Sunday and Speakman / KLD etc will really need to sort themselves out etc.

It’s a completely overreaction as usual. Amongst the worst offenders performance wise on Tuesday were the likes of Baath and Ba who a sizeable proportion of our fans were decrying not being in the first choice eleven on Saturday.

The massive shift in tone on social media happened somewhere between 7:30pm and 9:30pm on Tuesday and has remained since.

I think concerns are valid personally as per my posts on this page. We have no depth in key positions. The season starts in 3 days. We bad tackle or turn and we have no striker again.

I do think we will get the striker we are after but as usual it's taking time.

Its quite amazing where this conversation is going before a ball is kicked in the new season...some of our so called fans just beggar belief. Support the team for god sake
Having concerns doesn’t stop anyone from supporting the team when it matters. For instance I can express my option that we lack depth and experience in the squad, still use my season ticket and support them as much as an owld fart can these days. On the flip side you could get someone bigging them up on here and when sometimes it turns to ****, will be yelling and bawling at the players on a match day
