£4million for Lihadj I’m hearing.

Take that and ****ing leg it.

Just throwing it out there, but what if the rumours of a player being disillusioned and attitude dropping off is actually him and not Roberts as reported? It wouldn't be the first time some one put 2 and 2 together and got 5, I could be doing it myself here, but if some limited leaks came out of the club the way some Twitter twats and journos go on to get a scoop, it's possible. Since KLD got involved very little leaks out, so a bit of Chinese whispers is possible mixing up players unintentionally but publishing it without checking. Just a thought to consider.

Anyway, if Lihadj wants away, let him go. He's got talent but maybe not the attitude to make the most of it, especially if he's after an easy payday in Qatar at this stage of his career. And if that's the fee, great business.

You're absolutely right. Success isn't all about promotions, trophy's etc. We're very different in this part of the world. This club is about representing a community, a heritage, a history. It's playing and demonstrating the values of the fans.

Up here, we don't come from money, education, frills. We come from hard work, graft, trying to better ourselves at every opportunity. When things don't go out way, we move forward, we improve, we try. Very easy to forget this.

Culture these days is under threat, everyone thinks we're all the same. We're not. We're shaped by our parents, our family's, ours and their experiences.

We're different and should embrace it. Nowt wrong with being satisfied by developing and helping a bunch of young players. Trophies etc are the aim, absolutely no doubt about it. But helping people succeed, find the right path, improving themselves, means a load more.does to me anyway.

I want to be proud to be a fan of Sunderland. I've lost that over the last few years. Even though I defended that regime wherever I could.

You look at man utd, Newcastle, Chelsea etc. Would you trade what we have for success on the pitch? I wouldn't. I want culture, I want representation, I want effort.

This team is so different, for the good. The people in charge are responsible. We won't all agree on the decisions. However, in the back of our minds, do we agree that they're making decisions for the right reasons?? If so, let them work.

Wow, Train tinnies makes me a bit emotional lol.
Wish I could like this post more, yes I'd love to win a trophy, would I want us to sell our soul for it? Not a chance.

I want 11 lads giving everything for the shirt, the club and for us.

I'm one of the ones that cheer a tackle as much as a goal, I'm neither ashamed or embarrassed to admit that.

Will it get us promoted? I think we have as good a chance as anyone, but the one thing i do know is that is won't be from lack of trying.

And for that we can't ask anymore

There's something seriously unnerving about a player from Manchester United calling Sunderland 'an incredible football club' ...

... people talk about success in terms of promotions but having the club admired and praised is success of a different kind.

The bad old days of Donald, Moyes, Grigg and Rodwell seem decades ago and few of us could've thought that could happen.
Before the Poznan incident Ferguson told Keane we were massive but sleeping and he should come here. He was right.

Great sentiments but you're probs younger than me. I would dearly love us to win a trophy while I'm on this planet. I was 5 when we won in 73 and can't remember it.
If you're a supporter in say your 30s you have hope (as I did at that age) but time flies! You will know what I mean one day lol.

I'm 48 mate, was an exile from the age of 5 until 2 years ago, so distance and life got in the way of seeing some of the highlights of the past 43 years.

Yet there I will be Sunday, excited as a kid watching these lads give their all
