We definitely can’t, he’s injured till around Christmas I think?Experience in the middle of the park is a must, can't rely on Evans lasting a full season.

Let's wait and see what comes first: Mowbray's departure over 'philosophical differences' or Lord Speakman signing an English veteran.Pleased to hear Mowbray confirming this. Some fans think we wouldn’t entertain any thoughts of signing anyone over 25, and quote the ‘model’ without real understanding. Never thought there would be any such naivety that the club would rule out acquiring a decent player, who would benefit our squad and system because they were a couple of years older.
I think speakman has said that the priority is always to sign quality player regardless of age.Pleased to hear Mowbray confirming this. Some fans think we wouldn’t entertain any thoughts of signing anyone over 25, and quote the ‘model’ without any real understanding of what it is. Never thought there would be any such naivety that the club would rule out acquiring a decent player, who would benefit our squad and system because they were a couple of years older.
Whats with the lord speakman comment????Let's wait and see what comes first: Mowbray's departure over 'philosophical differences' or Lord Speakman signing an English veteran.
Suppose Speakman didn’t sign Batth or Pritchard did he? Christ you are insufferableLet's wait and see what comes first: Mowbray's departure over 'philosophical differences' or Lord Speakman signing an English veteran.
This actually made me laugh out loud. You have clearly never been to this region, which is no big deal or issue, but to prejudge a whole area based on some preconceived ideas which isn't born out of any reality is just funny. Where I currently live in Abu Dhabi is one of the cleanest, advanced open societies I have ever lived in. To compare it to say Houghton le Spring ...where I come from is laughable. But I often say its all about opinions and you certainly have yours.
So you put money before morals, not good my friendI know many " Millionaires" who have moved to Dubai/ Saudi to make more. Why not? I really don't get this preoccupation with "he already has money"...clearly in his mind, he can make more and secure his family for many years. I play golf with a guy ( American) whose wealth totally dwarfs that of Jordan and he came to Abu Dhabi to enhance his earning capacity. As I said ...good luck to him. Most people would go for it if they had the chance and the balls to actually do it.
The UAE is a very cosmopolitan country which is safe, very clean and incredibly advanced. Yes it is an Islamic run country and as long as you respect the rules, you have no problems...The regime here is very relaxed. There are no "areas" as such for expats, its very much mixed communities. I don't know Saudi very well, but my understanding from friends who have moved there, its a little more strict, but very much changing to a more relaxed way of living. I have lived and worked in the UK, USA, Germany and here in the UAE. This country is far and away the best place I have ever lived in...no contest.Interesting mate, I think a lot of us assume the midde east is this authoritarian state and all countries are like Saudi Arabia. I assume Abu Dhabi and Dubai have areas for expats (who are needed to work out there) where it is a bit more relaxed.
I'll get wrang for derailing the transfer thread when it had just got back on track!
Add in evans to that as wellSuppose Speakman didn’t sign Batth of Pritchard did he? Christ you are insufferable
Until the UK, EU and USA etc governments decide to stop trading with UAE, Qatar, Saudi etc, because of their so called questionable morals then I have no problem in the slightest of living and working here. I've said a lot of times, its not for everyone. But for those who have the opportunity, the balls and ambition to better themselves, living abroad is not that bad.. For those who don't, no problem. So you put money before morals, not good my friend
I mean , how far do you go with that stance?

Aye...ok, really can't be arsed with this conversation anymore...probably as well you stay where you are then
Didn’t a princess run away and got forced back against her own will not that long ago?
Probably decent lowey out there but I’d rather **** in my hands and clap than live in an Islamic state that still practices shariah law at times.
This!can we keep this thread to transfers and save the greed discussions for a different thread?
quite hoping one of these strikers comes good but i am still convinced that we could still need a bit more experience in the squad.
