So much speculation about this one. We don't know if the offer is still on the table or was taken way when he got injured? Can see and argument for both sides from the club, withdrawing the offer will go against the reputation they are wanting to build with players but keeping it on the table for him if he seemed less than enthusiastic before his injury is risky as he may sign it knowing he is not going to come back like he was?
I think it's still there, I just think the lad isn't exactly jumping to sign it! We have signed Crikin and Hume to new contracts in a few weeks, this has been going on for months!
I think Stewart is one of the best strikers we have had at this club, his all round game is fantastic and we could spend £10-15 million and not replace him. But his attitude has to be questioned at this point its clear he has had his head turned. I still think he will give 100% out on the pitch like.
All those saying no way championship clubs can afford £30k a week, I honestly thought that would be the going rate for clubs best players in this league. What do people reckon our wage ceiling is?

How are Stoke offering Ross Stewart anything when a bid hasn’t been accepted?
Load of ****e.
We’re getting round having a low wage bill by having young, up and coming, players. Our side were very competitive last season and I’d expect us to be that bit stronger in 23/24.You’ll struggle to find a player in the championship on £30k a week who’s not been relegated from the PL in the last few years.
I have no idea what our ceiling is but I’d like to think it’s gone up quite a bit from last season. We had one of the lowest wage bills in the division which is great but you’re handicapping yourself if you continually have a lower budget than those pushing promotion.
Surprised given he's said just in the last few days he's heard nothing from the club since the season ended. Either contractual or regarding possible offers.patterson
he was injured when we signed him. Before his Achilles he’d only been injured once for us since joining. I remember saying, in the reading warm up that “Stewart just doesn’t seem to get injured”!
Prior to that, his injury record is non existent. Last season, on the other hand, he was injured most of it.
Class signing that. £30m seems very good value to me, when compared with other prices being bandied about. You must log in or register to see media

We could, but it may set a precedent they don't want. Not saying it's right or wrong, just saying how Stoke might justify their excessive wages.
See above tweet. Personal terms agreed with Kovacic two weeks ago but clubs only just agreed a fee today. Happens all the time.
The difference is though is Kovacic it was in the media weeks ago that he was in talks with man city, the only thing mentioned about Stewart is someone on a msg board saying he has been offered £30000See above tweet. Am i right in thinking that FFP is on a 3 year cycle so teams can gamble in year 1 and consolidate in years 2 and 3 to stay within the rules. (i guess that putting players on 30-40k a week will bite in year 3 though especially if your club does not generate that much income. We as a club should financially very strong this year as we were a regular on sky sports last year and our season ticket sales have been tremendous, put that together with advertising corporate and sponsorship deals then I think we should be much better off than Stoke however, they may be more inclined to gamble than we are, given how desperate they seem.Stoke will spend big this summer like as they are out now of the FFP period which got them into a bit of bother.
They’ll spend big, fail and end up with FFP restrictions again in season or two…I can sense it.

Saudis are going to kill what's left of the game over here.
