I'm still 100% Ross Stewart like. The lad will come back firing as he did in December and score the goals to take us up. I hope a new deal is sorted, hes quality.

He is our best player, in the most important position. Injury prone or not. If he signs an extension he'll be the most celebrated signing we've had since Bent signed from Tottenham.

He's absolutely mint. We'd of probably been promoted last season if he hadn't got injured.

Don’t agree
If he can’t sign a contract
He can fox off

That's an opinion based on a guess at this point. If he doesn't sign, I'll be upset too. Doesn't change the fact he is a brilliant player. We've lost a load of great players over the years. I didn't start thinking they weren't great players just because they left.

Surely the only reason to offer a player with an active buy back clause a new deal and wage increase would be a charm offensive, which would imply he is able to veto that buy back clause! Otherwise, it makes no sense to pay him more money until the clause has elapsed.
He would have been in last year of contract and able to negotiate a deal elsewhere from January where we wouldn’t even get the 6m. I’m fairly certain the only thing that clause means is we have to accept that fee, Cirkin can’t be forced to sign for Spurs, that’s surely unlawful and even more of a restriction than pre Bosman rules were. Of course Spurs could offer a very attractive option in terms of salary but if Cirkin wanted to be there he would be.

If any other team tried to sign him though theyd be told only if spurs dont want him though, right? Totally agree otherwise. I'd be very surprised if you can agree contractual terms with someone years, maybe, before they actually start working for you. Doesn't make sense to me and open to all sorts of legal challenge.

If another team bid , say , 12m for him I assume we’d have to inform Spurs who could then choose whether to activate the clause which would give them the right to offer a contract to Cirkin and pay us the pre negotiated fee. Cirkin could still turn them down though is my understanding.

Yep. Likes to be out of London too. Much more zen. Good human who has developed above his years.

Someone in my family married a lady from London. She lived further south of there in her time, she was in Essex when all the glorified "Rise of the foot soldier" stuff was going on for real. she said it was like the wild West and knew the "Essex boys". Back then,She said never in her life did she think she would live "Up North", but she absolutely adores it here and would ",Never move back down there". Defends the North East like mad when anyone is derogatory towards it,online etc.

I'm no transfer expert but my understanding is that the buy-back clause simply means that if Spurs want to re-sign him then they are able to immediately enter contract negotiations with him, and if they agreed a deal then the transfer would go through at £6m (or whatever the agreed buyback fee is).

However, there is no obligation for Cirkin to do anything. His agent doesn't even have to pick up the phone to Spurs to hear them out.

I don't think we would have to involve Spurs in any potential negotiations with other clubs. The buy-back clause isn't a right of first refusal, it just lets them skip transfer negotiations with us as we agreed that figure with them when we signed him.

TBF thinking he might decide to stay, and become properly fit again, is guesswork as well ...

... he might just be using our medical team and facilities while lining up a deal elsewhere.

Roscoe was playing semi pro in Scotland at 18, has worked his bollocks off to get to where he's at. He's from a lovely family and is a good guy. He's suffered two horrendous injuries so cut him some slack if he's not doing cartwheels at end of season lap of honour. He's a quiet guy, let's trust the process. Let him get fit, be happy and he'll sign. I'm confident

Denis was in Majorca 3 weeks ago, he met a mate of mine he played golf together, and said he is staying here, it is the start of something big and he wants part of it.
Wish Stewart would just sign a new contract. Something has to give this summer surely
There is something we don't know about, why would he and his agent refuse a good contract, knowing if does well there could still be a good move or an increase in wages.
Summit not right here.

were shaping up to another exciting season, few in early plus some still yet to have a pre season here, core/majority of the squad having a pre season is crucial to a good season, especially with you players, will help them all bond further together also.

league looks stronger than last year....but its looking like were going to be too, sides with normal/older squad ages your expecting the players to be at the same level as the year before their additions improve them. obviously we know how much growth some of our players had last year, its difficult to guage how much better the will be with a review of their progress in training & a pre season together....then we will have our additions....& im hoping we go close...if we dont go up...still going to be an amazing ride i think

regarding stewart, ive said it before, last year of his contract, few serious injuries, unknown if he comes back exactly the same player, not expected to start the season, unknown if he will be fit before window closes. i dont think were going to receive massive bids, i dont think hes going to be offered a massive contract from a PL team...unless some near bottom panics near end of window. this being the case, if he doesnt sign a deal & we think hes at least close to the same player, id keep him even without contract signed, chance our arm....if ge does well, we still wont get a massive offer in january with 6 months left on his deal, chance our arm, with the 'plan' we dont want to be doing this often, if we go up offer him a deal & theres no reason he shouldnt want to stay as we surely would be competitive with the clubs hes likely to go to. he could sign say for rangers in january, speak with his, tell him give it 6 months you might be blowing your arm off for a potential PL contract, if we dont go up likely we loose on a free & good luck to the lad if he gave his all. like i say we dont want to do this often but i think with Stewart & way jext season could go its worth a shot....hiw much would we loose if we sold now? 10m offer for him max with his issues & unable to prove his fitness? less?

Personally think he has been badly advised. Agent seen the big licks and the PL calling when the goals were going in. They thought his injury was over after ruptured quad and expected PL clubs to roll in.

Ruptured Achilles to follow and that's crushed any PL big time move. For the near future anyway. Think it's time for a big dose of reality and to sign what he has been offered to date.

It’s madness to me that you even have to say that - he’s been brilliant for us and a resting bitch face when he’s probably gutted he can’t be playing more of a part or a lack of Instagram activity shouldn’t see fans turning.

We have no idea of his intentions or what’s happening with his contract. For all we know the club could have taken the offer off the table whilst he’s injured.

Do you reckon the club are still offering the same terms in light of latest injury?
