Not transfer related so apologies for blocking up the thread, but I don’t get to go to games anywhere near as often as I’d like these days, I’m there this week, a rare day out with my dad, few drinks and getting behind whatever 11 we put out is what it’s all about, let’s just support those that are here and not worry about who may or may not be coming in, focus on what we can control, good atmosphere still a very good team here, 3 point’s Saturday and this place will be buzzing again just like the bulk of last season

Hope that you and your dad have a good day.
Oh and 3 points please

Bad news for the whingers ...

... the good news is they'll claim he's too old/young, too short, not match fit, not experienced enough in this league, would be going to the PL if he was any good, is injury prone, once had a minor disagreement with a current player, hasn't had his tonsils out, etc etc etc.

Sorted.
His name had better be pronounceable or I'll be fuming :emoticon-0121-angry

"Let's get one in the building, and then if we get another great, and I'll deal with the problem [of managing them]. That's how I feel.

"I think we agree on that, but I understand the club picture of wanting to sign our own players, rather than loaning them in, polishing them up for somebody else to make a profit on. Get your own player in, polish them up and then have the money to reinvest and see where you can get to.

Yep flexibility n adaptability is key, theyll never stray to far away from the model, and i think most of us will be happy with that but agree that there needs to be flexibility

I found when i started coaching n scouting i lacked any flexibility, i had my idea on how to coach or scout a player n that was it. If i stuck to that thought process i wouldnt have got anywhere.

You learn as you go along and im sure (hoping) that speakman n co are doing the same

Mistakes will always happen, as long as we learn from them. I get folk saying we havent learned from them by not signing a striker yet (an experienced one as folk have asked for) but i know its not as simple as that. The transfer market for all teams, except the big teams plus saudi sides, have been so tough. My team finally signed a LB this week after being in discussion with him n his club since April!!

If its a loan signing we get then thats fine, as long as no stupid recall option in January, as long as its the right player that improves us

Im at the game on Saturday so still buzzing to see the lads play, always a good sign when you still have that buzz

The 10.30 from Waverley for me.

Get in there. Sounds promising.

So bored I’ve had a glance into THE DARK SIDE! There are some on here think we are being impatient. Take a look over there! On second thoughts DONT! Apparently it’s Sartorie’s fault, followed by the owner. Nothing to do with this being an exceptionally difficult market.
Your a brave man floating over the dark side

This desperation to bring in any old striker reminds me of being a young lad and dating a lass you really knew wasn't your type, because you didn't currently have a girlfriend.

You take her out, spend money on her but she doesn't perform as you'd hoped despite a bit of coaching.
She can't take a hint and clear off so you're stuck with her ...

... then your dream girl becomes available but she sees you're fixed up and goes with someone else <doh>
