I have a soft spot for Partick Thistle. I remember collecting the Panini stickers and getting the Foil badge with the name Partick Thistle on it, and a picture of a thistle, and thinking it was the best name ever for a football club. They also produced Alan Hansen, my idea of the perfect centre back. Have been to see them a few times as worked in Glasgow from time to time.

Their most recognised full team name in Scotland is "Partick Thistle Nil."

An ITK on the Preston forum has heard the same as Upthere (that Sunderland are at the front of the queue for Cannon).

The supposed ITK reckons they can't afford/not willing to pay the rumoured £1m loan fee.

At least if we do pay the loan fee, Everton can't then recall him in January.
I was hoping that we’d buy a decent striker and save a loan for a top drawer talent out of our reach - Amad sort of quality. Seems like we have needed to go outside our usual remit / model to boost our forward options.

Burnley are about to sign another attacker. Hopefully that will put their interest in Clarke to bed now...

◉ Burnley have made an offer to Troyes for 18-year old attacker Wilson Odobert.

◉ A proposal of approximately €11M which
has been accepted by ESTAC.

◉ The player scored 7 goals and made 2 assists last season
