Far too much delusion from over the road ending up on here mind.

Everyone is ****ing themselves off about Ekwah, who’s played about 10 championship games yet wouldn’t apparently have someone who’s 5 years younger than Evans whilst achieving more than most of our players ever will :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm
Ekwahdinho is ****ing class man.

I love the squad and I love the approach. I’m excited for this season and think we will be better than last season.

I am very optimistic and automatics promotion should of course be the aim.

The caveat here is that there is optimism and expectation. I think it’s right for us to aim and be confident in our chances of getting promoted. My fear is that it might stretch into expectation with some sections of our fan base. And that’s when things get messy.

We could very easily have a good productive season, be better than last year and still miss out on the playoffs.

I think we’ll be in the top 8 but where in that 8 is anyone’s guess wouldn’t be shocked 3 or 4 could still win it on the final day

I'm still not buying it to be fair.

The way we recruit now I'd be very surprised if Stuart Harvey thought we'd need to trial out a player before signing. The recruitment department he's Head of are so thorough in their approach to scouting, and utilising data that I think they'd be able to make their mind up really quickly.

Mowbray and the coaches will obviously be taking training but don't have final say on transfers.

Therefore, if he is on trial who makes the decision? The recruitment department who aren't on the training pitch, or the head coach and coaching staff on the training pitch who dont have the say on recruitment. See what I mean?

I don't think it's a goer personally.

Agree with what you’re saying here. But the one thing that leaves me thinking it might have legs, is that he’s currently without a club. We might have decided he’s an option for us but he’s second or third choice (for example after Amad).

So he may have asked if he can train and do pre season with us to keep fit. To which we may have agreed because it’s in our interest.

A lot of our players liking his posts too, again could be nout but matete has liked it and don’t think they have played together before?

Lot of people with red and white specs on tbh. I've heard talk of "walk the league" because we've signed a youngster from Brum and a bunch of kids with literally zero experience at anything remotely close to Championship standard <yikes>.

Don't get me wrong, I think we'll be in and around the top 6, and if things really click we could *maybe* push for automatics. But there are going to be a lot of disappointed folk a couple months into the season, imo.

Dear me, Moyes by name ..... <laugh>

Who's saying we're going to walk the league

Why shouldn't people be looking forward to the season, it's what football supporters do.

Do you think we're making no more signings.

If you think we'll be around the top six, and possibly automatics, how could people be disappointed after eight weeks ...

... that doesn't make sense.

I definitely don’t see us as title contenders, I can’t see past Leicester to be honest.

2nd to 6th is between 8 or 9. I absolutely feel we are one of the best balanced in that group.

I feel this linked ‘experienced CM’ is vital, as is, as we all know, another striker.

Get those 2 filled right and yeah, I’d say massive shot at automatic.

Experienced CM won’t get a game anyway :emoticon-0138-think

That’s the big one for me, I think we’re decent all over the pitch but I’d love to bring in a decent 6 to sit in front of the defence, pick the ball up and dictate the game from midfield.

The club have been quick in the market, addressed the height and power balance within the squad, they have also improved the communication with the supporters and reconnected with the fanbase. All positive brilliant moves by the owners, but we still have some absolute fannies that nit pick at everything. Honestly its as though some people cant wait for a signing not to work out, strange mentality by some people.
Never been so excited for the new season in years, KLD is to thank for that

Coady was dropped towards the end of the season because his performances were so poor.

The Spurs fans have been desperate to get rid of Winks for years, they know how ****e he is. His game is all about passing the ball sideways no more than 10 yards. He wouldn't get a game in our midfield.
I wouldn't write either of them off just yet, although I do agree neither is as good as they have been made out they maybe in the same mould as Shelvey, who actually looked a different level in the championship but when he stepped up to the premier league he was just off the pace, so players with time on the ball can be quality however at premier league level the amount of time you have reduces considerably and some players just aren't at that standard

Absolutely massive role. Shame Evans is made of chop suey as he’s exactly what’s needed and he’s here but he’s in a bucket.

This player doesn’t need to be flash, doesn’t need to be a headline signing. Needs to be smart.

Absolutely nothing linking us to this lad but 1. Great name 2. Looks a hell of a talent, Amad replacement?

He is a very very talented lad. Thought very highly of at City by all accounts. I dont see him being loaned out, but if he were he would be an absolute superstar here I think. But he would be alongside Amad, not in place of :1980_boogie_down:

I think most of our fans...certainly most on here....have the awareness and intelligence to know that this league, this season is going to be ultra-competitive. I think it will be as exciting as any, including the PL. I think our squad.....not yet complete.....has as much chance of competing in the top 6 as any other. I'm sure we'll be a step up from last year, bearing in mind our young, inexperienced players and the constant, long term injuries.
It will be up and down,we know that, but we have nothing to fear from anyone, and we'll see where our great attacking football takes us.
I think our home form is key....we have to improve and make the SoL a fortress, finding ways to break down defensive, spoiling tactics which we know we will face. If we can do that, and our play on the break away from home continues,we will be there or thereabouts.

We will win games at home with a striker. Home form bombed out when we lost Roscoe and Simms.

Teams sit deep against us and a number 9 can stretch the game. We didn’t have that.

When teams tried to play us on the road we terrorised them. We cannot underestimate how much getting the forward roles wrong again would undermine the brilliant recruitment and potentially kill the season.

I know the club must see this so serene for now.

We played without fear last season and lacked in experience and height, the lads have an extra years experience and with the new signings all looking like absolute units we will cause big problems this season. Leicester, Leeds and Southampton will probably all play on the front foot and try and go for it. They will get a shock when Clarke, Roberts and hopefully Stewart start charging at them at will. Mowbray encourages them to attack as well it must be great for players like Roberts and Clarke to be told to run at the fullbacks and basically enjoy yourselves, it was clear as day they played with a smile on their faces last season and what a difference it makes !
