Except if we are buying its because we have an injury or have no goals so every club will know we are desperate so out comes the LFC tax again.

I have no answers Frank TBH I am a little bit in denial, I still think we will do something before the window closes.
But I also think Rodgers believes it is important to drag the very best from the players we have, we often see that the chequebook manager is not guareenteed success, managers who spend big money only add extra pressure to themselves and set themselves up for failure to an extent.
Rodgers has a small, young and hungry squad who clearly want to be there. He has got rid of all the players we used to moan about, so lets see what happens.
I trust Rodgers, I love most off what he has said and done, so far....
Yes, there is no panic, today we signed no-one, but we did sign Sahin, Allen, Borini and Assaidi, and we got rid of players that made us a laughing stock, our club has a new identity and we move into a new era.
Dempsey, the guy who scored more goals than Carroll, Downing, Henderson and Adam combined and doubled was available for 7million and wanted to join us. Not liverpool class? Bullshit. The guy's quality and scored most of those from midfield even! Absurd we only offered 4 million rather than the 7 because we wanted to suddenly play hardball having been screwed over last time. Now we just get screwed from the other angle. We had this with Gylfi, it is a matter of principle. Don't panic, there will be a reason this happened. Gylfi and Dempsey, Liverpool class? Not gunna lose much sleep about it.
Right people not available at the right price. No need to be desperate.
Who cares? Dempsey isn't good enough to be in our starting 11 and if the manager wanted him that badly he would have tried to sign him earlier, or bid more than 4 million.
Falcao cost the same as Carroll. That is one reason it is so hard not to look at that price tag and think what if. **** we could have had him in 09 for 3 mil.

I'm still baffled we loaned out Carroll before bringing someone in.
When we then go to other clubs for their attacking players (Dempsey/Sturridge) they know that we are woefully short up-front and start asking for more than we are prepared to pay because they know we are desperate to bring a striker in. That therefore gives the club we are negotiating with the advantage.
Appaling management. Quite confident I could have done a better job.
When we play Spurs will you fear Gylfi and Dempsey up front?
Not exacly world class.
