Hopefully we are patient with Talbi, same way as Mayenda the world is his oyster if he works hard but not the finished product right now.
We will be. We have seen how patience with young lads from overseas pays off. He has exciting attributes, but plenty of rough edges too. Pre season will be big for him, but still expecting a medium term impact rather than immediate.

I’m easily confused when it comes to finances. When we look at the amount we’ve paid so far minus the money we got from Clark, Jobe and Tommy but factoring in the 5 yr contracts we’ve got these new signings on which keeps us safe from a PSR perspective, is it still possible for KLD to front up more cash in addition to the premier league money to get key players in if they become available but still keep us ok with PSR??? Does that make sense??

Makes you wonder how much we have left to blow.

All in GBP Sadiki 17m, Enzo 20m, Taibi 20m, Petrovic 21.5m and Diarra 30m puts us on 108.5m spent.

I think Clarke's cash might have gone by now, and it was probably about £12m after paying Spurs.

The you factor in the Watson 10m, Clarke 15m and Jobe 30m and we've only spent 53.5m with a fair whack still available.

Means we need a striker, winger and two centre halfs as a priority.

Clarke's cash will have been spent I'd say.

But it all comes in bits over years. It all goes out in bits over years.

Nowt to do with me, I'm not bothered . They haven't done all this work to blow it up in a mad gamble. They seem to know what they are doing, so all we have to do is go and watch and shout!

Yeah just got to manage expectations with these young lads - we saw how much Mayenda, Jobe, Hume, Cirkin etc etc improve after their first pro season. And Talbi has just come off the back of his first very successful one

Have we signed Petrovic? I thought that cooked off?

It'll be nigh on £200m gross spend now you'd imagine.
Just based on credible links we're looking to spend another £40m on another forward and a centre back. Maybe that will be our dearer purchases done then any other business the club are planning will be for lesser outlay - Bischoff, Saba G, Charlie Gray etc...

You'd think we'll make another 10-15m off other player sales.

Talbi sounds great from what I’ve read so far. Admittedly hadn’t heard of him before today. Datascout says he is the second best u19 winger in the world outside the top 5 leagues, behind Estevao. He’s inexperienced compared to our other signings so might take a bit of time to feel his way into the league.

You wonder is Bischoff is the perfect other option for the wing. He can be competition on the left wing and offers the flexibility should we ever opt to play wing backs. Looking at his frame and profile, I think he's probably versatile enough to play in central midfield too as a cover if it was needed.

People saying they want more British players, it may be that we were more keen to get our foreign targets in early, and it's those we've paid a premium for, as it's assumed that they'll take more time to settle in and integrate. The British lads or those that have already played over here can perhaps wait until a bit later in the clubs eyes, it's those deals we may be able to take a bit more time over and therefore be able to strike better deals on.
I think it’s probably just that similar quality costs twice as much in the British market unless you get lads like Cirkin and develop them. I suspect as far as British experience goes it’ll be out of contract or already abroad signings.

Aye, net spend of just below £150m is my guess.

Way beyond what I expected. I don't love it personally but the outlay generally is at least in keeping with our overarching philosophy and should in the main be relatively low risk in respect of future exposure on the basis that there should be decent recoverability on what we've spent.
