Even if Walker ends up being a good signing for them I’d much prefer to be doing it our way than that way
Still can give long length contracts - but for PSR they have to spread the transfer fee over 5 years. I do wonder if there are some deferred fees which are onyl triggered after 5 years so they can still manipulate it. Like selling 5% of the womans team for £100m to bank this as profit still loopholes to manipulate for these big clubs. You see I thought this, but I swear Chelsea are still signing players on 7 year contracts this window
Under the previous regime Moyes would have bought him, no upside and potentially legs have gone.Even if Walker ends up being a good signing for them I’d much prefer to be doing it our way than that way
I’m easily confused when it comes to finances. When we look at the amount we’ve paid so far minus the money we got from Clark, Jobe and Tommy but factoring in the 5 yr contracts we’ve got these new signings on which keeps us safe from a PSR perspective, is it still possible for KLD to front up more cash in addition to the premier league money to get key players in if they become available but still keep us ok with PSR??? Does that make sense??

Walker is toast he’s been a phenomenal player but his physicals have fallen off a cliff.
It will be a shame seeing him drag his arse around for Burnley, bar when Mundle is giving him the ole’s.
Meh. Experienced defender adding to an already solid back line - I’ll judge at the end of the season.Wrong kind of signing for me that.

I've always said I believe there's a £200m war chest.. we shall see.You must log in or register to see media
Not sure how quick Talbi is? Doesnt look like pure lightening from the clips I was watching, but the teams that were linked with him in May is really exciting mind.
Still hope we get a proper speed merchant coming in, think its a really important option to have when you are a team down the bottom. Mundle, Mayenda, Isidor are really good for this element, hopefully Talbi is too.
Defo think we are hitting the £150m mark now. Insane.

Ahh I thought he looked quick on the highlights I seen, I agree physical attributes is what we need, that counter attack is key to our seasonNot sure how quick Talbi is? I agree with what you're saying... That said, there are pro's and con's to buying a player with this kind of experience. Arguably one of Reidy's best signings was Steve Bould. He was proper old for a footballer and I'm pretty certain he wouldn't have won any sprinting contests. But, the way he commanded the respect from the younger players was a joy to see. He marshalled the defence and his sheer presence was essential to that seasons success.Under the previous regime Moyes would have bought him, no upside and potentially legs have gone.
Love how that Talbi is the 2nd player like Sadiki where it was just boom here we go from outta nowhere
Like others have said makes you wonder if these long rumoured interest ones are genuine, as in Albline which has been all summer
Petrovic and Mika are high profile so I'd expect a bit more media rumbles
