I think it’s probably just that similar quality costs twice as much in the British market unless you get lads like Cirkin and develop them. I suspect as far as British experience goes it’ll be out of contract or already abroad signings.
Not comparing, just got me thinking, what did Ipswich pay for Hutchinson and Pilogene? I know it was about £16m on Delap, big sell on and relatively low release clause though.

Clarke's cash will have been spent I'd say.

But it all comes in bits over years. It all goes out in bits over years.

Nowt to do with me, I'm not bothered . They haven't done all this work to blow it up in a mad gamble. They seem to know what they are doing, so all we have to do is go and watch and shout!
Might be just my impression, and us fans never really get to know the details of a deal, but we seem to be willing to spend around £20m each or so to recruit these players. That seems to be the market we want to operate in,to sustain our model.
As I say,we don't know how any of these deals are structured. Most of us thought we would need to add 7 or 8 or so to the squad.....so,averaging out...let's say £150m. However, deducting the sales of Tommy and Jobe, together with whatever we can get from the 10 or so who will surely leave this summer....we might be looking at a net outlay of somewhere close to £100m,which could be payable in instalments over 3 or 4 years?

I don’t see the point in Arsenal signing Madueke personally, but if he goes there he’ll get minutes ahead of EN. At least until Arteta cuts yet another expensive purchase out of the squad.

I don't understand Chelsea selling Madueke to be honest. He's good enough for them and still has plenty of potential growth in him.

I’m easily confused when it comes to finances. When we look at the amount we’ve paid so far minus the money we got from Clark, Jobe and Tommy but factoring in the 5 yr contracts we’ve got these new signings on which keeps us safe from a PSR perspective, is it still possible for KLD to front up more cash in addition to the premier league money to get key players in if they become available but still keep us ok with PSR??? Does that make sense??

I expect it depends, to a degree, on who we sell.

If it was Patterson and Dan Neil that's money straight into the club …

… but there’s still the likes of Ekwah, Triantis, whoever, etc to add in plus SCs, sponsors, etc.

Waiting for an Oscar Bobb loan. Or maybe Nwaneri if Arsenal buy Madueke.
Nwaneri is an interesting one as they've been linked with a couple of wingers and he's holding off signing a new deal as he wants to know what's best for his development.

I reckon he will sign a new deal with them but wonder if we could tempt them with a loan to play week in week out

Either would be class on loan, I reckon if we loaned Bobb we could a buy option at the end of it as well

Think I'm in the minority but think madueke may be a good signing for arsenal, think he would play him LW and open the pitch up for them

Nwaneri a tough one unbelievable talent but don't see him as a winger long term
