Even if he does renew, how long till he's injured again. He'd probably strain his finger holding the pen knowing him.
We cannot relly on him next season at all. Huggins can play there which is a positive or come in on the Right and Hume can move to the left which we saw quite alot before Huggins got injured, but again Huggins is a worry too as is Alese who can also cover LB.

Cirkin played 36 games last season, many with an unfixed wrist, which he is now recovering from. He's had a couple of freak injuries, and barely played in one of his seasons here. But he has still played over a hundred games, with around 30 in three of the seasons.

In approximately the same time Huggins has played about twenty games.

Let's hope they're both fit and firing, but Cirkin is emphatically not the crock he is made out to be.

9 defenders for four spots feels like the foundations of a bloated squad to me personally.

No issue with the signing in and of itself but would want to reserve judgement on the squad composition until everything is in place and the whole picture is clear.
If the last few seasons ( especially Luton play off season) have taught us anything it’s that 8 defenders for 4 spots isn’t enough! I’d always go with four fullbacks and five central defenders being available, a couple of which could cover full back if necessary.

I think we all already knew that our business isn’t done.

Or does that mean more to follow imminently?

He's a journalist, he wouldn't say that if he didn't know something imo

But probably something in between imminently and next week :cheesy:

He could of course have added that to get people reposting

I bet they’re close with someone we haven’t even heard mentioned yet. They’re not daft they’ve known it’s what we’ve needed since the start of the summer.
Knew we didn’t need to stress about it man they’ve earned our trust by now. Isn’t the CB we were hoping for but solves the problem until we get one at least

I think Alese will go out on loan as well, obviously depends who else comes in but I think 9 defenders tops is what I'd have
Suspect we'll struggle to find good moves for them all by the end tbh. However, if we end up with 9 it isn't too egregious - even with RLBs tendencies. It's not the worst move in the world by any means. You'd certainly hope it isn't going to break the bank. Defo not having it as a real transfer coup though. If we were committing to a cheap fullback I'd perhaps have gone for a right back. Even better would have been a gadget player who can credibly play left back and centre half. I know the talk is of injury cover, but what on earth are we gonna do with the lad if both Reinildo and Cirkin are fit for the majority of the season (as they both were last time out)?

Really hope we still get 2 CBs, but wouldn’t be surprised if we only end up one if we have Lucumí, Reinildo, Ballard and O’Nien as our main options. People seem to forget that O9 was our first choice CB all of last season, ahead of Ballard.

I really rate him, i know I'm in the minority but he has to go and play week in week out if he's to ever reach his potential
Just hardly anything to go on with him really, apart from our lot signing him and their record being pretty good.
But yes, he really needs to go and play twenty or so games on the spin.

Yep i think we might struggle for loan deals for a few of them - especially the lads who haven't had a preseason (alese and hjelde)

Huggins and seelt (nec by the sound of it) should get moves as they've played quite a bit in preseason

He can play right back too I’m sure and will likely always be on the bench and be able to come on

I don't want to tell my granny how to suck eggs, because I am not at all computer literate.
I have McAfee on my laptop and noticed it has a VPN (I ain't got a clue how to use it) but, without it switched on I couldn't purchase Saturdays game. With it turned on and set to Australia, I managed to purchased it.

Watching it might be another issue :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

sounds daft to those that don't know...but a VPN makes the internet believe you are in another country so therefore makes it possible to watch/purchase things not allowed in your home country despite any posting address will be your own, strangely they do seem to be much easier to get now with many offering 'standard use' for free which is pretty much all that is needed, just make sure to start your VPN and set it to australia before watching and it should be fine.
