It sounds like we have made an offer not to Birminghams liking and they have spoken out. Cortese has pointed out that this isn't how we do our business. The fact that Brum have now gone quiet suggests that, although the deal may not go through in the end, it is not beyond the realms of possibility. The Birmingham manager may be learning what many have learnt before him...put not thy trust in Chairmen.

I think something is happening...
I think something is happening...
Birmingham officials have since declined to comment.
Been very quiet period over the last couple of weeks, hence why I think something is happening behind the scenes...

"They don't have the money, they offered this knowing they don't have a chance. Just trying to get their fans a bit moist."
"
The only reason for Southampton to buy butland is they think they can make a profit on him in a year or two..
If he's as good as people say then there's no way he would be at Southampton long term.. He's destinedfor much bigger things.."
"Similar to what they've done with The Ox... Play him regularly for a season, and then sell him to Arsenal for double (going on treble) what Southampton has just offered...
As aj18er suggests; I too have little doubt that it's what Southampton's plan was for our Jack."
"I think someone bigger than the Saints will come in for Jack. lets be honest if you was Jack Butland would you take a risk and go to southampton, they are in top three favourites to go straight back down. "
"ignoring blues stance of selling price, why would butland even entertain moving to Southampton,. it would be a sideways move at best as they are going to be in the fight of their lives to avoid relegation. if relegated he'd back in the Championship."
