The Alese comment is interesting. Yesterday RLB said 3-4 weeks.

Don't think he said that. Think it was along the lines of "We don't know yet, possibly it will be 3-4 weeks, but we don't know."

I was talking to a mate about Fofana a while back saying he’d be a great loanee for us when they signed him from Molde but I think he’s had a few underwhelming loans since. Still I think he could be very effective at this level. I thought he stood out at times for Burnley last season very good at carrying the ball forward and playing with his back to goal.

We are very good at taking players who have struggled elsewhere and getting the best out of them.

im a keen marathon and ultra runner but haven’t run for 4 years due to having popliteal artery entrapment syndrome (the condition that forced Brady to retire). Having my 4th operation on it next month in the hope it fixes it.

but my point is I know how it feels to be perma-injured. Not nice.

I've posted this before but I'll quickly mention it again.

A journalist I know, who works for a national UK paper but not in sport, says junior 'reporters' open accounts on forums.

They then start rumours, back up their mates, and pm people they befriend and feed duff info.

Once a rumour has gained traction it becomes reported as 'my sources tell me' and it becomes a fictional fact.

I used to have half a dozen people, I'd never met, sending me info. I had others who had actually sent me their mobile number ...

... I knocked it all on the head when I had friend requests from Tony Mowbray, Tony Norman and Denver Hume!

It all became too much and I never got any work done

Setting aside where the bid has come from, I’m amazed Fulham have rejected £10m for Stansfield.
